I hate it when a company does this bruther. Why would the go assassin's creed 1 and 2 then switch it to brotherhood. Then Revalations. Now they're going back to numbering them again bruther. That Bull **** bruther. Either number them or give them a title dude.

Because Assassin's Creed I, II and III all have different main characters. AC:Brotherhood and AC:Revelations were part of Ezio's story arc. AC3 will be a new assassin, thus meriting a number title.

Since AC1, Ubisoft said that there would be three main installments to Desmond's story, focusing on several different assassins.

The same logic can be a applied to Final Fantasy, Mortal Combat, Resident Evil, Halo, and even Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

If we number those after 2 we would have had Ass Creed 2.5 and Ass Creed 2.75. It gets even more confusing with decimals.

Assassin's Creed has been an awesome series. I'm glad Ezio's chapter has finished and we're on to someone new. I'm hoping Desmond has had enough mental training to have his own game in the present which should be the focus of AC III. Gotta wait and see...

Oh yeah, was I the only one that thought, despite existing in the normal present time, the Templars would have more advanced technology besides the Animus, to give it more of a contrast between the past lives Desmond has lived through and the wave of the digital era of the present?

Semi spoilers for AC II: Honestly, back at the end of AC II, I was kinda hoping the Templars would use some freaky awesome gadgets in trying to recapture Desmond. My mind's example just immediately thought of spheres that rolled out and transformed into cybernetic dogs or something.

Well, I won't be in the United States when this comes out, but I'll make sure to get it when I come back around Christmastime (or as a Christmas gift). Either that, or get my brother to pre-order it for me and give him the money.

Shouldn't this be the last game? At least for Desmond anyway considering the story revolves around the end of 2012.

Should be the end of Desmond's story, yes. But Ubisoft has not-so-subtly admitted that they could make any number of spin-off titles.

Cautiously optimistic here. I liked AC1, adored AC2, and then (although their gameplay was much more refined) had a hard time enjoying the stories of both AC: Brotherhood and AC: Revelations. I still enjoyed the latter two for what they were, but it felt like all three of them were really the same game divided into three discs.

At least Revelations gave me a lot of closure with Ezio and Altair. I'm just looking forward to hopefully playing as a new character for a change.
