Honest question, GNF: Are you going to actually buy and play this game?
Ah, but the original point was how having to purchase a song a second time might make a consumer think twice about purchasing Blitz over Audiosurf.
You say it's not a double dip. But to the average consumer it is. You can split hairs and come up with a theoretical argument as to why it's not that doesn't realistically apply to anyone. But that's irrelevant. The important quesion is, "what does a consumer think about this?" Unrealistic arguments have no bearing on the situation.
Does the typical consumer even buy their music once anymore?
No, it wasn't. Skyp1e quoted me saying Audiosurf was free, and said they don't remember paying for it. Don't try and bring up the 'original point' when it was my post.
...Holy god. I actually didn't spell it out clearly enough for you over three posts. You say it's not a double dip.
but songs purchased [for Rock Band] aren't necessarily bought for a 'second' time.I also never said Rock Band DIDN'T require 'another' purchase. The only thing I've contested was the blanket statement that Rock Band always was a double-dip. I said it's not always.I'm going to ask AGAIN, and this time, specifically reply to the question. What part of me saying, "Rock Band usually is, but isn't always, a double dip," confuses you to such a degree that you tell me I'm saying it's never a double dip?You keep telling me Rock Band is usually a double dip. I keep telling you I never said otherwise. You reply telling me Rock Band is usually a double dip. I reply saying I am repeating myself. This goes on and on with...well, you're the third person I have to spell this out for?

When you brought up that you had to buy songs for Audiosurf just as you have to buy songs for Blitz, you brought it up in a discussion about consumer habits and what they will accept to make a purchasing decision. So of course, that is what is in debate. If you were just throwing this little tidbit of non-information out there for no reason, you should have said that a long time ago, that "even though I'm making this comment here, it really has no bearing on anything being discussed and you should ignore it, because it is irrelevant to the discussion at hand."
But you did not present it in that way at all. So of course people are going to debate you over it. What did you really expect?
I would expect people to tell me things I disagree with if it was a debate. This is what I've been repeating. No one has said anything I disagree with(after Skyp1e saying Audiosurf was free, of course), yet everyone continues to respond to me going, "No, it's like this," even though they are just repeating what I've already said, or being completely wrong, like when you said:
You say it's not a double dip.
And you didn't respond to my question even now, so I have to wonder if you're reading my entire posts, or just the first line or two.

Okay, if this isn't a debate, why the hell do you keep coming back? Do you have nothing better to do?
