Not sure if y'all have seen this yet, but our newest blog article gives some insight into how a Rockband DLC track is made:

This makes no sense what-so-ever..
The Dashboard says Best Song performance is Free Bird.. yet on this site.. it says Llama..
I can only assume both only use tracks from RB3... because I know there are far more other songs that I've scored higher on.. and have a far greater difficulty to do.
Top 2% Vocalist.. #3 in the world for Pearl Jam's "Evenflow" Love to Jam!
Overall Band Ranked #341 out of 291,600
Based on my proposed replacement formula, your Best Performance would be Homecoming by Green Day on Vocals.
Though with so many #1 performances, ANY formula is going to get confused, since you get a 100% rating on a bunch of songs (including both Free Bird AND Llama). Damn. Impressive. You're "only" at 99.4% of the top score for "Homecoming", but the total score is so much higher than the other songs, it gets bumped up for degree of difficulty.
I'm still curious to see what songs come out on top for people when they use my proposed replacement formula, and if most people agree that those songs better represent their best performance.
PSN ID: SilverSpg
Total Song Library = 1,010 songs, including ALL games and track packs that can be exported into RB3
My best song performance is Imagine on Pro Drums on the app. That was my first gold star on any instrument and I was thrilled when I got it but let's be honest, not really a great accomplishment.
With the proposed formula it's Heroes-Pro Drums, which makes a whole helluva lot more sense because it's the only song I have sole possession of #1. Imagine would be #699.
Uh, is this app supposed to give a 100 rating on an instrument?
Prior to this weekend, I had assumed ratings were like percentiles, meaning that the 99.9 rating (percent?) is the highest possible rating. I had a 99.9 rating for Vocals and 99.5 rating for Harmony.
This Memorial Day weekend, I had a bit of spare time - I noticed I had a few songs where I didn't have gold stars, and decided to sing those songs specifically.
Looking at the Dashboard app this morning, I have 99.9 rating on Harmony, and 100(!!) on Vocals.
Is this working as intended? I had assumed these were percentile ranks, but now I am assuming they are some other scale entirely. What do the scores mean?
EDIT: DUH. My question is answered in the very first post on this thread by HMXcj: "(Your rating) is based on the number of stars you get on songs, and how difficult the songs were. " Therefore, I'm guessing that means that if you have all gold stars on all the songs you've played on any one instrument, you get a 100 rating. Am I right in this assumption? Sorry for my confusion!!
