Can I download my DLC in 10 years?

    Hello guys !!!!

I'm new on rock band and I try to buy all songs that I like.
If I buy the MIDI adaptater, even in 10 years I can play with drums and RB
(I think it will be very hard to find RB drums pro in 10 years but who knows ...)

But imagine (all the people ) in 10 years for example, my x360 is dead but I want to play again RB.

I buy a x360 on ebay or whatever , but can I download all my DLC songs ? ? ?
Or it will be dead and I can only play songs that are on DVD ?

    Thanks !

Only Microsoft knows the real answer to that. Harmonix has been working to relicence older DLC so it'll be available years to come and from the looks of it Microsoft intends to keep 360 around for a while especially since nothing besides your gamertag carries over to the next gen. But there's also the problem that when they do decide to cut live, that's when you lose it all.

Honestly, we have no idea at this point; it's uncharted territory. While there's the theoretical possibility of your Xbox Live account download history carrying from one generation to the next (does anyone know if XBL downloads from the original Xbox remained downloadable?), only Microsoft (and Sony and Nintendo) have their roadmap for the future in terms of what stays and what doesn't.
DLC on DLCQuickPlay.com. Gamertag is the same as my Forum name. Hit me up if you wanna play!

From what I've heard all the Xbox downloads stay on the 360 including DLC, Arcade games, games saves, on demand, and what not stay on the 360. I'm not honestly sure about music or movies downloaded to the system yet, because those seem easier to carry over in the form of a purchase history than anything else does.

Ok, but can I backup the songs ?

I can play my DLC without being connected to xbox live (but dont have my saves)

So, if I backup all my RB3 game + DLC on a key USB, I can play RB3 DLC in 10 years (always for example) no ?
I just lose my saves (only best scores in reality) because no xbox live anymore ?

Your songs are never lost, they're always in your download history and if you can fit your stuff on an external it should be fine.

It depends how fast your internet connection is. If not, I'd think about upgrading.

We've already seen em pull Metallica.

So for sales, no, the songs will not last forever.
