I can't believe that we might get some Weird Al in RB. I'm a huge Weird Al fan (I own the Essential Collection, Poodle Hat, and In 3D), but between the four choices, I only recognized Nature Trail to Hell, so I voted for that one. Thank you TAG for pursuing Weird Al's Dare To Be Stupid on Rock Band. I'll gladly buy any Weird Al songs that you can get, regardless of the song choices.

    Seriously? Get a grip.

    ☐ Alexisonfire ☐ Billy Talent ☐ Cake ☐ Cream ☐ ELO ☑ Heart ☐ Kinks
☐ Neil Young ☐ OLP ☐ Sex Pistols ☑ Sublime ☐ Supertramp ☐ ZZ Top

Weird Al is a beloved artist, and his fans all have personal favorite songs. Just because people are suggesting their personal favorites doesn't mean there's anybody other than you complaining about the song choices we put up. 90% of Al fans in this thread have said "I'd love to see Song X, but I'm happy with anything!"

You're just about the only one saying you /wouldn't/ buy Weird Al in RB because the song choices are "wrong."

Also, I wouldn't put "Nature Trail" or "When I Was Your Age" in the category of style parodies. Like, AT ALL.
Well, that's what they're officially classified as by Weird Al, so yeah.

To be fair, I just read this whole thread. There was exactly one person who made a complaint about song choices, other than the already-explained Albuquerque and etc.

If I had to choose two from this list I'd choose "CNR" and "Nature Trail To Hell" (my vote went to CNR though). I personally don't think "Germs" would be all to fun to play, but wouldn't mind "When I Was Your Age".

If I could choose any two (with the exception of Albuquerque, as it is sadly a minute and a half too long), I'd love to have "UHF (album version)" and "Your Horoscope For Today".

But honestly as much Weird Al as you will/can get I will support on kickstarter and of course purchase when it comes out.

"Nature Trail To Hell" and "Germs" would be excellent, but IMO "Your Horoscope for Today" would be excellent-er!

I'm guessing "Albuquerque" isn't an option because of it being 11 minutes long?

Easily one his royal weirdness' best original compositions. Maybe if this plan works out, you folks at TAG could convince HMX to go for that one. Those drums would be the death of drummers everywhere.

Personally, I'd love to see any and all "Weird" Al songs (original, parody and polka) eventually make their way to Rock Band. I don't really have a preference for one song over another.

    "Dare To Be Stupid"?

That's seems to be his most popular style parody. When I saw him in concert a couple years ago, people were wearing shirts and holding up signs that asked for that song to be played.

May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?

As a loyal Al fan (own all his albums and was a member of CPFA since when it used to be his official fan club), I'd have to say out of those, I would only (probably) buy "When I was Your Age". I do love all the choices, but simply cannot see buying them for Rock Band, or even playing them often if I did. To be honest, a three-pack consisting of "Franks 2000" TV", "Your Horoscope for Today" and "UHF" would be an instant purchase for me. Shoot, as long as it had "Frank's 2000" TV" I would buy. However, regardless of what is chosen and released, I sincerely hope it only leads to many (many!) more Al songs in the future.
I only buy what I like, and I play for fun, not score/leaderboard position. Don't like it? Play with someone else, because I really don't care.

I say CNR and Nature Trail to Hell to round out a three pack out of those songs. Very cool to see Weird Al on board.
