Yes, I agree, with such a big name like Weird Al, I think it's more than essential to include all instruments.

I'm going to do some research tomorrow to find all the possible "perfect" songs of "Weird Al". Maybe that will help this situation.

Time to begin Operation: Weird Alfrican Safari!

Thank you Harmonix for making Tuesdays worth rocking.

You should take Lasagna off the list though cause it's a parody of La Bamba

Also, I hope that the complaining that has gone on won't affect the number of songs they bring us from "Weird Al". I do have a "Weird Al" wishlist, but I'm absolutely ecstatic to get any "Weird Al", and as many of his songs as That Authoring Group can bring us. I will seriously play any and all "Weird Al" songs on Rock Band twice a day, every day, for the rest of my life.
You sir deserve to pick the songs with that wonderful paragraph, that made me smile really big. Great to see someone love an artist so much .
    Wishlist:
    The Cure [1]
    Queen [28?]
    AFI [7]
    My Chem. [3]

I disagree with this. His officially name is "Weird Al" Yankovic, so that's how it should appear. Also, if Rock Band network went by actual sorting conventions, solo artists would go by the first letter of their last name, not their first name or first adjective.

D'oh! Sorry, I wasn't paying that close attention because technically Spy Hard was a single, not on the actual album. Although, I would imagine Spy Hard may have the same issues getting in as Talk Soup or Polkamon would.

Thank you kindly! I am a huge "Weird Al" fan, though unfortunately not from the very beginning. The first two songs I recall ever hearing from him were Smells Like Nirvana and Waffle King, because they were on the same single and a friend of mine had the single. I may have had other albums before that, but if I did for some reason I don't remember. But from that time I was hooked.

If I had to choose all the "Weird Al" songs I'd want in Rock Band, I couldn't contain it to just a 12-pack of songs. Even though I'd love to get his entire discography, to just pick out the songs I think would be awesome for Rock Band, I'd have to at least choose a 21-song mega pack like the Country Megapack.

I actually got to meet "Weird Al" last year. He came to LA for a book signing to promote his new children's book, When I Grow Up. I live in Fresno, so that's a four-hour drive just to get a book signed, but I did get to talk to him for a minute.

I stood in line for probably half an hour waiting, going over in my head what I was going to say because if I didn't, I'd either sound like a babbling fool or an obsessed fan (which I really am ). I mean, this guy is literally my musical hero. When I finally arrived to get the book signed, here was the exchange:

Me: *clears throat* "You probably hear this all the time, but I'm your biggest fan."
Al: *looks right at me* "But not from you!"
    Me: "That's true!"
Al: *signs my book, extends his hand* "Thank you, sir. It's an honor."
Me: *shakes his hand* "It's an honor, too."

Awesome musician, awesome guy to his fans. It's not just his music, but his whole demeanor that makes him relatable to his fans. I'm an Al-oholic for life.

You're just about the only one saying you /wouldn't/ buy Weird Al in RB because the song choices are "wrong."
Exactly right. I know it's a deeper cut, but When I Was Your Age is actually one of my favorite "Weird Al" songs, so I'm ecstatic it's being considered. Unfortunately it doesn't look like it will receive enough votes, but I'm glad it's in there.

La Bamba started out as a traditional Mexican folk song, and the arrangement is different enough from the Ritchie Valens and Los Lobos versions that it's the one parody I wouldn't mind seeing.

Wait, so we're getting Dare To Be Stupid for sure?

If yes, I love you guys. If no, I still love you guys.

EDIT: By the way regardless of what song(s) we get, I will buy Al on the very day it comes out.

I wouldn't mind seeing it either except for the fact that parodies aren't allowed in RBN cause they're considered covers.
