I'd definitely buy it, even if it is insanely overrated in terms of Rock Band requests; I can't believe so many people think it should be a disc song.

As boring, pointless, and easy Albuquerque would be... I'd totally buy it...
I would prefer "The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota", though, if we're going for long songs.
And I think we should have made this a "choose two" poll so we could get a more accurate reading on what the community wants.
meh
As much as I love "Albuquerque", I would rather have "The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota" (another of my Top 5 "Weird Al" songs) due to its better playability.
EDIT: Actually... My top 5 is:
1. Horoscope for Today
2. Melanie
3. Craigslist
4. The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota
5. A tie between "Dare to Be Stupid" and "Albuquerque".

Thank you Harmonix for making Tuesdays worth rocking.
Let's all raise our glasses for five of the best years of our lives.
"Genius in France" clocks in at 9 minutes and has plenty of variety on all five parts, but it's on the same album as "Hardware Store", so they probably can't go after it just yet.
Not to mention, the Harmonix portion of the PAX pack proceeds went to charity, which isn't necessarily something Weird Al would have agreed to (nor does Weird Al have anythign to do with PA). Two JoCo tracks and discovering Paul and Storm--on top of a few extra cents of my money going to Child's Play--made buying both packs worth it for me.

Nevertheless, I could have substituted a good number of artists or packs for "Weird Al" and made the claim he would have sold better. I mean, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana has said that he didn't even think they had made it as a band until "Weird Al" asked to do a parody of Smells Like Teen Spirit. There are many artists that "Weird Al" should have made it in before, and he would have sold much, much more than they did.

Insert Hautewerk remark here.
You're still making these remarks as if all artists were equal--that all artists or labels ask the same amount to get their stems licensed, that all artists that get released get the same cut from DLC sales--and that HMX's profit margin is the same for all songs involved. I'm suggesting, right now, that this isn't the case. Even so, I think it's pretty safe to assume, independently of anything HMX may confirm or deny of the matter, that during the MTV days, Harmonix was beholden to their parent company to release songs by certain artists on certain dates (think Spongebob, Nikko, the free promotional songs, Locksley).
Not every artist is the same. Just because one artist would sell better than another and that artist would love to get their stuff on Rock Band doesn't mean that it's the call HMX should or can make. As a hypothetical situation, if Pink Floyd were to agree to releasing five songs but charge tens of millions of dollars for the stems, is there any way that could be financially viable for Harmonix? Sure, they'd probably get a boost in RB3 sales, but would it be enough to justify that kind of purchase, particularly since there's no guarantee they'll even come close to breaking even?
