It would be a great time to see Violet Hill.
Looks cool, I will look forward to playing it
Ehh, looks okay, not for me, I'll buy to export the tracks to RB3
Not interested at all
Forget the pony...I'm holding out for a unicorn

PURDUE

I did. Then I deleted the part I didn't need quoted to help the conversation flow.
And I repeat. That is exactly how this has worked for years. You can go look up videos of any of the DS Rock Bands or Unplugged.

I was at work when it was announced and while I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't a traditional Rock Band game, I wasn't surprised. I have already made up my mind to support HMX in whatever endeavor is next, so I would have bought it regardless. Hearing it will serve as a track pack with songs I want is great, so I was happy. I came home and watched the trailer and am excited about it now. It'll be a day one buy for me. Not sure I'll play it for hours at a time, but it looks entertaining enough and gives me more value for my DLC library.
I do love that they can bring in some new blood to the DLC game though. There might be people out there who pick this up, enjoy it, start buying DLC and decide they might as well pick up Rock Band to use that DLC in another manner. or to check out HMX other work. I also love the social features they've built in to constantly advertise the ever expanding music library. Maybe a retired RBer might pick it up, see that there are songs they enjoy and pick up some DLC and dust off their old instrument. Anything that keeps the company growing sounds good to me.
Looks cool to me.
As much as this is counter to the point, I wonder if there'll be an option to control it using instrument controllers anyway. I don't mean standard RB style (though it's cool that the songs will be playable in RB3) I just mean the two-button gameplay or whatever would be fun on a keyboard too.
Either way, looks like a fun way to re-explore my DLC library
I wondered this too, but directly from the video from XPlay it's stated that it won't be.
Upon reflection I can see why that is. They also alluded to "playing against your friends" but digging a bit more I see it's always solo play, they must be referring to high scores.

Looks cool, I will definitely get it day one.
I wonder about the deal with the 25 songs the game comes with, they will be usable in RB3, pro upgrades for new songs HMX? huh?
Either way, looks like a nice throwback (updated Unplugged).
I've been playing HMX games since Frequency, back in 2001 and was hoping to see similar arcade title on XBLA/PSN.

So you're saying there's a unicorn...
I would love these groups in RB: Daft Punk, Ratatat, The Blood Brothers, Oingo Boingo. That's all.
Getting it day one for export, will play at a later date for the game and achievements
Not sure how fun two buttons will work for each track unless the video was only hard mode or something. Phase was three buttons and that was entertaining every time I pulled it out
