If everything is licensed, paid for, and ready to go, what do the labels care? I doubt they're obsessively reading every post in this forum, denying the rights to more songs every time the same information is repeated. The only people who might care are Harmonix because they plan on revealing everything later, but that cat's been out of the bag for a month.

This pretty much explains the "Occupy" generation for me.

    Thanks.

Yet. You still have to get through college first.

    $15? nice.
getting the game 1 day (actually, probably more like 6 hours) before the xboxers? nice again.

confirming the list of leaked songs? crap. oh well, i would've paid $15 just to get cult of personality, jessie's girl and metal health alone. i'd pay another $15 if i could somehow remove pumped up kicks and we are young from my HD after installing the game and still keep the rest of the songs.

Or you could just not play them. An easier solution.

    1. That's assuming everything is licensed, paid for and ready to go.

    2. Labels aren't reading every post on the forums, but they've seen things from the forums before. All it takes is one Google keyword alert, a temp browsing Twitter or a bigger hit because someone is sending a "leaked" list to news sites trying to get it picked up.

    3. There are a lot of people who care, which may not be immediately apparent to you. "Leaks" damage relationships with bands and labels. They can create a lot of negative perception and give potential partners the impression their business won't stay under wraps. It disrupts plans to coordinate with 1st party, and it damages relationships with gaming press and mainstream media outlets who were counting on exclusives or carefully timed reveals. When "leaks" are obtained by breaking NDAs or violating 1st party security, that's an even larger issue.

As an Xbox player, I'm kind of glad that PS3 players get this one first. When it comes to RB, Microsoft has spoiled us rotten.
AsianSteev: if you can read this, put more Ska songs on the RBN! Please?
