Indeed it is, and Nike could very well lose a contract because of that snooty jerk in the local outlet. Within certain contexts, that snooty jerk is as much the face of the company as the contract lawyers, and any bad impressions he gives could impact the rest of the company's operations.

This is especially true if someone is looking for any and every bargaining chip they can use. "I don't know, I mean, I'd like to pay $500,000 for this contract, but, you seem to have some employees with bad attitudes, and that makes me wonder how valuable your services really are. What say I pay $300,000?"

But of course we know no one in the music industry would ever do such a thing...

(I'm having trouble thinking of single-brand goods shops that aren't food.)
Old Navy? Pier 1 Imports? The ten thousand Sprint and Verizon kiosks at the local mall?
It's all right. Everything will work out fine.

probably not, as Henry already said. this leak stayed pretty much contained to these forums. so most people dont know it and it will come as a surprise to them. giving away all the setlist quite a while before the game comes out will cause people to forget about it more easily. if they announce some great songs just before it comes out then people will see the game in store and remember it more easily

Seriously, I don't remember a couple of days ago. Blitz was announced how long ago before release? I still don't remember what songs they first said was coming, so to me they could say anything and I'll forget. I even took the time to listen to all the songs on the leaked list and I now remember about 3.

So if something tickles my fancy before release then I'll pre-order it if it's available at that specific time, otherwise they need to get my attention at the point of release. Anything else is worthless on me.

    Pre-Order Examples time!
    I pre-ordered RB3 because I knew I would get extra songs.
I pre-ordered RockSmith because it was a good price otherwise I would forget.
    I pre-ordered TB:RB because... it's the beatles!!!
I pre-ordered Skyrim because it had Dragons and Dragons rock! DRAGONS!!!

Stuff I just remembered as examples...
I watched a thingy about Fez and thought it was cool, wanted to buy but was not released and had no pre-order method, ended up not buying Fez. I mention Fez because I read about it again in an article today and I thought "Yeah, I was gonna buy that but that articles put me off now".
I vaguely remember watching another thingy about a sprite/figure that was black who ran in a grey scrolling background puzzle type game. I saw that before release and it looked cool. Forgot what it's called and did not buy it because it was advertised before release.

So if there is no nudge (aka advertising) at the initial release then it's probable that I would forget about Blitz. The only reason I even remember it's going to be released is because I come back to these forums.

You're correct, it's not a Rock Band game in the traditional sense. It's rather more akin to Harmonix's other games, Frequency and Ampllitude. I do not see this as a bad thing. Rather, I see this as a bit of variety that should be interesting. Plus, with all the songs working on Rock Band 3, there's more to it than just an arcade beat-match game.

I work at middle management at a call center. That is exactly the kind of things that come up in contract negotiations when a client is looking to open (or renew) a contract. I know in one contract if the client sees call avoidance as a pattern from one agent (by them staying on the 2 minutes longer on call after each call or such thing - something egregious) - They can pull their entire business from the center.

And don't hate me just because I work at a call center. No sales, the project I'm on just makes outgoing informational calls to people that have signed up to get those calls.
4 singles - 2 I'll get (Queensryche and one Staind).

If it was not a Rock Band game, Harmonix would not have put "Rock Band" in the title.

Plus, I am sure that they have to call it "Rock Band" something to be able to use all those songs...
