Did anyone else take that to mean the possible return of Spoon Man and Give It Away in Blitz? Seems like a good place to put them.

As long as they exist outside the track list. They said 20+, so Spoonman/Give It Away better add on to whatever they're aiming for.

Disappointing that I won't be able to filter Blitz songs in RB3, along with no sign of RB3-type filters in Blitz. It's not going to impact my decision to buy the game in the least (not that I should have to say that), but I was hoping the Blitz songs wouldn't be like a needle in a haystack.

At least I'll be 20+ songs closer to being a True Music Fan.

If it was not for the "Stay Tuned" part, then I would have said it was the standard thing they always say since things can always change in either direction. But the last time we saw a "Stay Tuned" we had a patch turn up. Although I am not expecting another patch - just keeping my expectations low to avoid disappointment

I assumed we'd see Spoonman/Give It Away about six months after the last Chili Peppers pack. This assumed that they started re-doing the two songs with the announcement of the RHCP pack (which, as I type it out now, is a pretty faulty assumption).

OTOH, wouldn't it be a mere eight months or so between the I'm With The Chili Peppers pack and Rock Band Blitz?

Yeah, considering the six months includes finding and delivering masters, in-house work like charting and mixing, and putting them on the schedule.

Also, you're making the assumption they're possible to reacquire.

Blitz, the game, will come as a single Arcade/PSN download with a few trial songs included, and all the trial/full infrastructure in place.

All the Blitz songs will be delivered as a separate package which can be downloaded only after the full game is purchased. After this package is downloaded they will appear as standard RB3 format DLC on the console.
