I like the first two songs on their new album (Someday's Gone and Beekeeper's Daughter), but I agree that the rest sounds terrible

    Ahem...

Also, you clearly haven't listened to enough Elton John. There are a lot of Elton John songs with guitar solos.

Indeed. The solo on I still standing is pretty short as well.

I seriously hope that this will lead to a 6 pack.

I'm still waiting for The World I Know by Collective Soul. It's a must for Rock Band after all these grunge/similar grunge/post grunge songs we got.

Songs I would buy as DLC:
    AAR- "Kids in the Streets"
    Barenaked Ladies – “One Week”
    Collective Soul – “Shine”
Elton John – “I’m Still Standing”
Fall Out Boy – “A Little Less Sixteen Candles”
Great White – “Once Bitten Twice Shy”
    Iron Maiden – “Wicker Man”
Living Colour – “Cult of Personality”
    Shinedown – “Diamond Eyes”
    Tears for Fears – “Shout”
Foster the People- "Pumped Up Kicks"
    Quiet Riot- "Metal Health"
    Rick Springfield- "Jessie's Girl"
    Blink 182- "Always"

So yeah I would buy everything so far separately, besides P!nk. Thats pretty damn impressive, although my friends say I have an extremely wide variety of music taste
    U2 / ELP / Bruce S. / CSN / ELO / BTO / ZZ TOP / The Fray / Ted Nugent / Bob Seger & TSBB /The Eagles / Steppenwolf

There are actually less songs than I thought I would like, now that these are announced, but I'm actually stoked for the Blitz gameplay, rather than looking at this as a glorified track pack, as many people seem to be doing.
AsianSteev: if you can read this, put more Ska songs on the RBN! Please?

I would kill for the entire Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding in the game.

Eddie Money has recorded that song too? Meh, The Beatles and She and Him versions of that song are still the best.

I was just thinking this soundtrack could really use some delicious cake. It would really sweeten the 90s offerings.

As for aar, I agree that I really liked their old sound, but if that song is indicative of their new sound then I guess I'll just move along. They are no longer my dirty little secret. It is really just giving me hell but I'll swing to a new band.

I thought I'd be the only person to feel that way. I thoroughly plan to drop to one knee, tap my wrist, and then yell "IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!" the first time I sing this song.

    For me thus far:

    The five stars:
Living Colour - Cult of Personality
    Tears for Fears - Shout
Foster the People - Pumped Up Kicks

Songs I think I'll like once I'm playing:
Elton John - I'm Still Standing
All-American Rejects - Kids In the Street
    P!nk - Raise Your Glass
Quiet Riot - Bang Your Head (Metal Health)
    Shinedown - Diamond Eyes

Of course... I'm one of those crazy folks that would probably buy this for the game itself, soooo...

EDIT: Can any offical HMX folks tell us whether or not the Malcolm X (I believe) intro / JFK Outro to "Cult of Personality" will make it to the game?

Edit 2: Surprised by the amount of love for Shout and the amount of hate for P!nk. That song is, for me, one of the most "rockish" of her songs, and not in a good way. I actually thought people would like it, but it may simply be hating on P!nk without listening to the music...
