If RBB can have over 6000 songs, then it's not an issue for a while

No clue on how many the PS3 has total, I"m around 850 myself, so I've got room.

Around 2300-2600, I guess. Don't remember exactly, but we're definitely getting close.

he probably says that because the PS3 doesn't have 3000 songs yet?

That's great if RBB can have over 6K songs, but it doesn't matter if you want to play RB3 as it can have less than 3K songs. You will not be able to play RB3 with more than the RB3 limit so there would really be no point in having more than that on the HD even though RBB can have more...Unless of course you only plan on playing RBB.

Unfortunately the 3000 limit issue is something that affects a minority of people. I consider myself a big RB player and DLC purchaser but I don't purchase everything, I don't think I am at 2000 yet, not 100% sure though.

Initially they probably would have liked to have another RB peripheral title out by now but the market really didn't allow for it when RB3 didn't sell gangbusters.

It would be a major issue to fix via patch too I would imagine that could have bigger impacts in terms of crashes elsewhere in the title.

There is no way to 'fix it' via patch. It's a system RAM limit. They cannot patch RB3 to put more RAM into an Xbox.

They could patch it with memory optimizations though, however there is no point as it would be an involved process and as I mentioned above it would probably cause more issues then it fixes.
