This *could* be an important point. With a "new" title, it isn't unreasonable to expect the quantity of DLC to ramp up a bit.

That said, if I had to bet on this, I'd bet on the 3 or 4 a week schedule to stay in place from this point on, with the occasional "big" pack every couple of months. I'd obviously love to be proven wrong.

That idea is not half bad! I doubt it'd be worth the trouble on HMX's side though, but it would be kinda cool.

I am super stoked about this game. I have about 400 DLC/exports on my PS3 hard drive that I'll be able to play in it right away - what a value!!! The one unanswered question I have is, will RB3 offer a disc export before this game's release, so that we can play songs from the RB3 disc too?

Thinking about it... Doesn't this make the DLC have even more value than what it is?
Buying a 2 dollar song would give you guitar, bass, drums, pro drums, keys, and pro keys on RB3 and then a playable track on Rock Band Blitz! That makes buying DLC even sweeter :O

Any licensing issues as a result? I'm waiting for the inevitable "The following tracks and artists, whose songs already exist on your hard drive, cannot be played in RBB because of a licensing dispute" list.

"and is compatible with most of the current Rock Band library of over 3,500 songs"

Makes me wonder what exactly is the distinction between most and all. Does 'most' just mean to exclude the RB1 and 2 non-exportables, the RB3 setlist, Hier Kommt Alex and Rock and Roll Star? Or are there new songs to add to the 'labels won't play ball' list?

I was thinking the same thing in the form of:
    1) Can you play the RB3 setlist or exports in Blitz?
    2) Will we see the return of Rock and Roll Star, Runnin' Wild and Hier Kommt Alex?
    3) Will there be any further DLC incompatible with Blitz?
    Wishlist (possible artists):
    [4] The Killers
    [1] The Cure
    [7] AFI
    [3] Sum 41
    [11] Linkin Park
    [51] Green Day
    [9] The Offspring

What do you mean rumor? Matthew Nordhaus from HMX specifically says 25 songs in the XPlay interview. He also goes on to say that "the songs are instantly playable in RB3", so this means no export fee.. right?

Much safer to have each game have a read-only relationship with any folder that isn't its own native data folder.
Not really. It does not touch the RB3 game, only places the tracks (aka DLC) into the relevant folders. Just like when you purchase a song from the store. When you start RB3, that game looks into the folder and says "Hey, I found new DLC... please wait a few minutes whilst I examine it.".

RB3 does not export yet, so I doubt you will be playing that in Blitz I think the statement means, any non RB3 disc song that can be played in RB3 will work in Blitz. I'm wondering if RBN Demo songs work.

I don't remember where he said it, but I believe Nord commented that "Pro upgrades and XBox demos" (referring to RBN demos) will not be available or functional in Blitz.

Must have missed that part, but it's what I suspected.
