I certainly hope so. And I hope we get more Rick Springfield too.

What's odd is the statement that these songs "could" get upgrades in the future.

We know that the songs won't have pro upgrades at the launch of Blitz (per HMX).
We know that, right now, you can't purchase a Pro G/B upgrade for any song that doesn't appear in the Music Store.
We know that HMX have no plans to release the Blitz songs as separate DLC (also per HMX).

So how would these songs get upgrades? The only scenarios I can think of right now are:

-> Somewhere down the line, whatever song(s) might get upgrades would be released as separate DLC, which would allow Pro upgrades to attached to them then.

    OR

-> Rock Band 4 is released at some point, which makes all your songs appear in the Music Store if they have Pro upgrades available.

    OR

-> There is a patch for RB3 that adds a new method for getting Pro-Upgrades.

-> You'll be able to order PRO upgrades for songs that exist in your library that have PRO upgrades available (essentially the same as yours, Blast but with specifics).

They noted that the export process is done differently than how it works with other games / track packs, it's done "automatically", without an export key. So apparently RB3 will import them just as if they were regular DLC, and that will allow them to offer individual Pro upgrades in the future.

Total Song Library = 1,010 songs, including ALL games and track packs that can be exported into RB3

That would be nice, but would probably require a patch to how the in-game store works, unless they managed to get that all to work server-side.

At a guess, I imagine this means that when you download Blitz it puts the game in it's own game folder and the music that comes with it into the RB music folder. This is why it appears "automatically", because essentially it is DLC.

I am sure that it was said that the reason for not having pro-upgrades for export packs is because there is no store position, and thus no position for the upgrade.
So only items which can be purchased via the store can have the upgrade, and (AFAIK) the only way to get these new tracks is to purchase Blitz then there will not be a store position and hence no pro. Which is why we are talking about alternative methods

More or less. The download will just be the Blitz shell and a 25-song pack like if we bought it off the Store.
