Nope, only played it once, and played easy songs so I could get all the achievements in one play-through specifically so I didn't have to go through it again.

It's nothing more than a glorified quickplay with very unfun "challenges". For me, it's the worst part of RB3 and the aspect of the game I'm most disappointed with.
5+ years, 4,000+ songs, 1 awesome developer. Thank you!

Somewhat this. I do like the spades giving me a new way to play, but they're not entirely fresh or reliable.

I redid some of the first road challenges just to see the "unsigned" background screens. I am a total dork about this.
AsianSteev: if you can read this, put more Ska songs on the RBN! Please?

Also no choice of venue or longer custom setlists.

Even worse, the crappy spade challenges made you play counter-intuitively and were often impossible depending on the song-instrument combo.

RB3's tacked-on effort at a career mode felt more like an insult than an innovation to me.

Once and done - good riddance.
They said it better than I could.

In fairness, the spade challenges are okay in small doses (one setlist every now and then). Two or more in a row of them, and the spade challenges get really irritating and un-fun. Also, the purely random/custom nature of the setlists (with a preset option for those who don't have that much DLC) was the best idea.

This is the silver lining of this horrid mode.
We've ended on a sour note:

I play Road Challenges all the time. I like the random genre setlists, and each time through you get different random genres from which to choose. Even when it is "Custom", I "pick" random songs. I also like how the challenges switch up playstyle slightly.

The spades should have worked like the Lego Rock Power Challenges. Mainly have it as a bonus (or perhaps as a challenge to progress to a bigger venue/ get a better vehicle/ or come up every now and then randomly to help the player earn fans/clothing in an alternate way since most get haulted on progress with no chance of moving forward if they aren't an all instrumen/all level player).

The LRB Rock Power Challenges on the other hand are worth going back to play, not only do you always gain, but there's an animation dedicated to said challenge. Very amusing and fun to watch. It was unique since it wasn't the main way the game was played.

My friends ask for it by name. They enjoy the added challenge.

I replay them constantly. I prefer playing the setlists with particular stipulations (i.e. Random 90s Setlist, Custom Punk Setlist, etc). I find if I just play random singles, I play the same songs over and over and over. If the game picks the songs for me (like in a random setlist) it forces me to play songs I haven't played in a while.

Nope, never did them again. The goal-oriented gameplay was cool, and I would do that kind of thing in quickplay, but not in a tour scenario. Sorry HMX, you kinda missed the boat on that one. Just like you missed the boat on 2X Bass charts in Pro Drums.
