I'd really enjoy some This Town Needs Guns, Six Gallery, Bygones, and Maps & Atlases. Or just some math-rock in general. And possibly some Northbound.

We need sludgey and droney and stonery metal:
Dirge
Sleep
Bongripper
Sunn O)))
Electric Wizard
Earth
Neurosis
Cult of Luna
I brought up Alkaline Trio in a thread recently and the responses I got were "Who the hell is that?" and "Those guys suck!" It made me really sad. One of the most influential bands of the last decade with several #1 albums and according to this board they're nobody.
Also Los Campesinos! and The Hold Steady. I've given up hoping for more indie rock from official DLC, though. It's seriously been over a year since the last DLC indie song ("I Will Possess Your Heart" by Death Cab for Cutie) and the most recent one before that was months prior.
775 Tracks: RB + RB2 + LRB + AC/DC + GDRB + Blitz + 22 RBN + 423 DLC

I think Skull Fist would be cool. They are a Canadian metal band from Toronto. Also Cactus would be really cool to see.
Rock Band needs:
[] Tool
[] Genesis
[] Pink Floyd
[] Led Zeppelin
[] Bathory
[3] More Anvil
[21] More Megadeth
[28] More RHCP
Older Avenged Sevenfold, along with Staind.
I don't know how obscure they are, but here are two bands I'd love to see in RB.
Fit for Rivals, an unsigned female fronted rock band from Jacksonville, FL. They actually had a Kickstarter to get funding for their second album, which is hopefully going to be released really soon. Awesome music, and I love Renee's voice; it's gritty and raw.
3 songs for you: Damage, Crash, and Hallelujah.
Icon for Hire, an alt rock female fronted group from Decatur, IL, signed to Tooth & Nail Records. The lead singer Ariel makes her own outfits for her shows, and they're just a fun band.
3 songs for you: Make a Move, Get Well, and Iodine.
I'd also love to see some Emilie Autumn stuff in RB, but I don't think her music lends itself towards fun charts all too much.
5+ years, 4,000+ songs, 1 awesome developer. Thank you!
Animusic.
They're indy, they're well known, and they've produced some great music that would make for awesome play. I've mentioned them before in various RBN request threads, and even emailed them once myself about possible RBN work, though sadly that email was never responded to. I would be all over any and every Animusic track that made it to Rock Band, but I think "Future Retro", "Harmonic Voltage", and a track they did without animation, "A Slight Delay" would suit the game particularly well.
It's all right. Everything will work out fine.
It's all right. We're going to the end of the line!
... PINK FLOYD, GUNS N' ROSES, AND LED ZEPPELIN!
*gets booed offstage*
But I really like them...
