But at the same time, is it child appropriate? Sure, everyone knows "Bad Reputation" upon hearing it, but is that a song that the kids should sing in front of their parents?

And Sing is about facing oppression

All Nightmare Long by Metallica- A Metallica song in a kid's game? I'd like it if it was in a normal RB set-list, but this might give kids nightmares.

There are some good songs there but many I don't recognize myself, and can't imagine kids really liking either. I would buy the game (at a reduced price) based on the setlist, just to import it into the main game really.
