WILL ROCK BAND NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE ON MOBILE DEVICES?
I've heard ROCK BAND will not be available after May 31. Is this true?
Yes, we will be suspending support of ROCK BAND after May 31 and focusing resources on other EA titles. We thank everyone for playing ROCK BAND, and we encourage you to explore some of the other exciting titles in our mobile line-up.

Can I still play ROCK BAND if I've already downloaded it?
The ROCK BAND servers will be live through May 31, 2012. If you have already downloaded the game, you can continue to play until then.
WOW-So basically it is F*** you were EA and this is how its gonna be, thx for your money. Now go buy some of our new upcoming titles so we can pull the plug on those down the road also and shove it straight up your a**.

But how does that even work? Users have downloaded the game, so it's on their devices...right? I said earlier that it's technologically possible for our DLC to stop working at any time, well, it's not like RB3 itself could be deactivated.......could it?

well, if they send an update that deactivates it it could be. but you'd have to download that update

and who would download an update that stops their game from working?

Maybe it's like the Kirby TV Channel on Wii, when you go on the game while connected to the internet it automatically comes up with a screen like "This game is now invalid" then automatically closes and deletes the game.
    Wishlist (possible artists):
    [4] The Killers
    [1] The Cure
    [7] AFI
    [3] Sum 41
    [11] Linkin Park
    [51] Green Day
    [9] The Offspring

That's a little different. The Kirby channel was free, Rock Band iOS was not.

You can't do that on iOs. However, if the game is already configured to check for a parameter on EA servers, even if you don't update, the first time you go online it deactivates. Or, it requires an Internet connection even now to play, and that makes things easier for EA.

Guess it's confirmed, EA is a garbage company. Nice job supporting customers.

lol But there was a need for name-calling, because this is a terrible way to treat customers.

Either way, I am not going to do further business with EA...

The forum rules disagree with you.

You can express your frustration, but kindly do so in a civil manner. And if you really want to vent your anger, the EA forums are a more logical place to do so anyway.

It's not going away. Whatever the hell happened, apparently they're changing their original stance and saying it was an "error". Pfft. Yeah, right.
