As it has been said, hormone therapy does not affect the voice. Instead, one can train the voice to sound more feminine in vocal quality. This does not, however, change the person's vocal range. Men and women only have slight differences in average range. This means that even if a woman's voice is deep, they will still be identified as female by voice alone if they have the certain feminine qualities. It will not change the number of notes she can sing.

It's great to see that younger and younger people are really accepting of it too, completely different to the mentality of my peers when I was in high school.
I read closed minded biggot coments regarding people's sex/race/religion/income bracket in a video about monkeys getting drunk. They pretty much clog up comment sections in YouTube regardless of the video content. I do think it's great that younger people are (for the most part) more accepting in this day and age than they were when I was in High School.

As far as The Artist Formerly Known as Tom is concerned, I wish her the best of luck and hope that happiness awaits her.
Well, The important part is that Laura is happy with who she is after years of misery due to pretending to be something she wasn't.
Bands I'd love to see as DLC for Rock Band:

Best of luck to Laura! I hope she doesn't stop performing with Against Me! and wish her all the happiness she can get.

I didn't realize the Cliks' lead was trans. Dirty King was one of my favorite RBN 1.0 tracks to play, and I kinda hope for future pro-mapping.
DLC on DLCQuickPlay.com. Gamertag is the same as my Forum name. Hit me up if you wanna play!

This is interesting since I'm only a moderate Against Me! fan.

    Go him/her!
AsianSteev: if you can read this, put more Ska songs on the RBN! Please?

Again, that would be 'her.' I can understand why it might be a little confusing, but it's not genitalia that determines what pronouns you should use for someone. It's self-identity that does.

Well, I don't encourage that kind of thing, but good for her, I guess.

Yeah, people being true to themselves is such a pile of crap, isn't it?

Now (I'm ASSuming) you're gonna tell me that you don't believe someone can legitimately be "born into the wrong body" (bit of an overly simplistic way of looking at it, but convenient shorthand). Well, were you to assert that, know that you'd have basically every reputable medical and psychiatric institution on the planet opposing you.

Props for the pronoun use, though
