If we did get Spoonman wouldn't it just have harmonies and pro drums, but not be labelled an RB3 version since it's impossible to play the legacy Spoonman in RB3 anyway.

Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness please!!!
Reminder! Tomorrow morning our podcast will go out and reveal what artist/band I was teasing. I'll try to remember to post the link in here once it's live.
I perform the greatest karaoke rendition of Born To Run that you'll ever hear. And that is no lie.
What time is this podcast live at?
So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, good night.
THAT, we don't know. We've never gotten a 'new' version of a song 'back' in RB3. IN RB1/2, stuff like Run to the Hills was called Original Version so it wouldn't cause confusion with the RB1 disc one. Fortunate Son, Limelight. All the RB3 Versions came from songs we still had access to, so they were labeled for separation.

Except, "Run To The Hills" was one of the three RB1 songs that did not export.
Also, all those songs you listed were initially covers in the game that we later got master recordings of.
With something like "Spoonman" it would be a "RB3 Version" because we had the master recording before and would be getting the master recording again, with new features.
May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?
I assume it'd be labeled as an RB3 version if for no other reason than that their dev consoles have every song on them. So they'd differentiate for their own testing purposes at the very least.
It's not really relevant to Blitz, since I highly doubt they're going to start recycling material with their smallest setlist by far (unless you count the Track Packs) rather than 100% songs we've never played just like every other Rock Band game.
I really hope the song "Awake and Alive" by Skillet will be on the Rock Band Biltz set list. I believe it would be a great song for the game.
I know. But guess what, the Iron Maiden Pack works in Rock Band 1.
Except for the RB3 Versions, unless you want to say Bon Jovi and Queen had covers in the game. Also, all those songs you listed were initially covers in the game that we later got master recordings of.
But there's no crossover in versions on any game. With something like "Spoonman" it would be a "RB3 Version" because we had the master recording before and would be getting the master recording again, with new features.

Rather than people spoiling it to others about what the annoucement is, can't you just force us to listen to the podcast to find out?
