Oh God, I checked out of there a long time ago. I know opinions are opinions and all that, but the slightest musical opinion would get you shot down, even when it made little sense.

Every Friday, we have an all-company lunch meeting. The upcoming Rock Band DLC is always announced at this meeting by one of three people (either me, HMXkaz409, or HMXdoesn'thaveacoolforumname). As it happens, HMXkaz409 is a MASSIVE Paramore fan who was ready to throw down for the privilege of doing the Paramore announcement, so we all got out of her way.

Needless to say, I sent her a link to your article.

Paramore aside - tastes vary, and tastes are not wrong or right. In fact, I'd go so far as to say every band is an acquired taste - after all, you need to be exposed to a band to know whether or not you like that band, and you need to start learning their music in order to crave their sound.

There's a difference between "I'm disappointed that you didn't release music I already know and like" and "This music sucks!" And it's a pity fewer people don't recognize this difference. Unfortunately, this general lack of awareness hurts the RBN. I wish it didn't.

I'll stop preaching to the choir now. Except for those few of you who occasionally post "This song sucks!" on forum threads, Facebook, or blog posts, because I'm totally writing to you. It's declasse and you should stop.

    Okay, I'm really done now.

Yeah, I definitely feel what you're saying.
I'm always stating that taste can't be objectively good or band, but it falls no deaf ears for some people (like Gowi). I'm giving every song on the Rock Band platform from now on a listen, be it RBN or official DLC.

That's how I get introduced to new music! And for that, I'm grateful
