What happened to song sales?

i only remember one sale since RB3 came out, shortly after, when a bunch of full albums went on sale. i got the Cars album on sale.

I remember the Cars sale too and that was shortly after I picked up RB3 and was building up my library.. I was on the fence with all the talk of potential RB3 versions.. and naturally hoped The Cars would get such an upgrade so I decided to pass.... dangit..

I also for whatever reason assumed the reason they were on sale was due to a potential RB3 version.. in hindsight this was dumb.. as it's not as if there is some limited amount of digital content out there that'll be impossible to get due to supply/demand..

Yeah, only reason I didn't snag the Cars album, is I had the songs I wanted already, so it wasn't that exciting.

I snagged the Foreigner pack on sale though pre-RB3.

I hope we get a summer sale this year.
