My god...who thinks of these ideas...

A better solution would be to pick maybe 5 songs from each game that are truly deserving of these upgrades (Highway Star, anyone?) then release them as DLC. Sure, not everybody is happy, but at least HMX has a chance of turning some profit.

I think the ideal solution would require participation on Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo's part, which we shouldn't hope for. If they allowed a DLC upgrade functionality (similar to an on-disc upgrade functionality), then people could just redownload upgraded versions of their previously bought DLC (for a price, probably) without having to have the (RB3 Version) on the end, etc. This would also probably require a title update or a new disc, so there would be no effects on online play.

But like I said, this would first require renovation on the console's end.
