...also, remember, Rock Band needs unique stems for each instrument... Dance Central does not. Just because HMX can use a song for DC does not mean it is in the proper format for RB.

right, but that doesn't really have to do with licensing. there are certainly technical issues that can prevent a song from being in one game vs the other, and the licensing would be different to reflect those differences (licensing separated stems vs the entire track) but the legal and business aspects of licensing, if you've already worked with them in the past, it might help grease the wheels a bit, so to speak.
True, most likely the song has the proper format needed. But, other songs on Dance Central might not. I was just trying to say that just because the song appears on DC, or any other rhythm game for that matter, doesn't mean the song is in the format needed for Rock Band.
In addition, some bands wouldn't want to release their unmixed stems, but only a consolidated mixed version to protect their songs.

And just because a song is fun to play in Dance Central doesn't mean it would work for Rock Band (or vice-versa for that matter), or if the Dance Central community is requesting it doesn't mean that's what the Rock Band crowd wants. There's a reason the two games don't have a lot of overlap.
I'm not saying without a doubt that "Moves Like Jagger" is NOT going to be in the game, just that if it is, Dance Central 3 has nothing to do with it.

How far back do I have to go to read any actual predictions regarding the last 6 unannounced songs?
So is it pretty much a given that Black Hole Sun and Give it Away are in this?
