I know that anyone who recognizes the band in the thread will immediately think, "OMG PLACE TO TRY YESSSS!!!" but the band has SO MUCH MORE potential than that!! The fact that PLACE TO TRY is an ultra badass tune not withstanding, TOTALFAT's music writing on a whole is beyond exceptional. After I heard "Light a fire" on their album ALL THE DREAMER, LIGHT THE DREAM, I was completely hooked. I have ordered and now own all but their first studio album, and their sound throughout the years, though maintaining it's lighthearted and melodic nature, has matured finely.

Being a Japanese band, they sing 99% of their songs in 99% fluent English. Their song writing is very strong with a heavy punk flavour, fast and intricate instrumentation with BEAUTIFULLY harmonized vocals. They have gained a lot of publicity and popularity since performing an ending for Naruto Shippuuden, but their music extends so far beyond that.

I think that they really and honestly do deserve a place in Rock Band, but more importantly, in EVERY SINGLE PERSONS music library. I think that anyone could find something to take away form this band. I'll throw in a list of songs to check out that stand out to me among their multitude of memorable tracks. They are in order as they appear on the album, not by my favourites.
