Thread: Pendulum.....?

    Pendulum.....?

Ok, I know its technically electronic music, drum and bass to be specific, but my lord they're amazing! Plus they use drums, guitar and have vocals aswell. I know not all of their stuff is suitable for the games format, but Ill suggest a few.

One thing I think would be perfect is during the synth parts where it looks like the guy is using a Rock Band controller, he doesnt appear to be strumming so that can be a solo where you use the higher frets

If you want to hear their studio tracks and more songs check out their myspace page! http://www,myspace.com/officialpendulum

I realize that these songs probably wont work from some reason or another and that it wouldnt be the album cuts used as they are not as elaborate as these but hey, a guy can dream cant he?

Besides, if people are mentioning country, I certainly think I can mention this! lol

They classify themselves as Drum & Bass/Rock/Electronica..
and they do have vocals / guitar / bass / drums

From their In Silico album, I'd like to see "The Other Side", "Propane Nightmares" and "Granite"

I would really like Tarantula but anything by them would be awsome, they are the best band in the world.

YES. I've been thinking about this for a while but never thought anybody else would go for the idea. Pendulum rock, and their music could SO work on Rock Band. If they can make those Nine Inch Nails (another of my favourite bands) tracks work, they can make anything work. Who cares if they're "technically" electronic? They have an awesome rock influence to their music and like you said, they use real instruments in their music AND live gigs. I agree with your song choices, although I'm not too sure about "The Other Side" (I do love the track though). I do think "The Tempest" would be a fantastic song to play. That and "Hold Your Colour (Bipolar Vocal Mix)".

I think Pendulum would be the perfect band to add as DLC to introduce some more electronic rock to the setlist. Diversify the genres up as much as possible I say!

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention their recent cover of Coldplay's "Violet Hill." I was never a huge fan of the original, but man, this track is sensational, and it would be a good incentive to get more of the mainstream folks to check them out. Hit me up a PM if you're unable to find it.

I thought I made a thread about pendulum here before, possibly under a different account. They DEFINATELY deserve to be in here... The best current new band/sound out there right now, and it would work amazingly with rock band!

Drum n Bass fused with Rock is just too great!

(I mess about with dnb as a hobby, too )

I would buy a Pendulum DLC, and would buy it RIGHT AWAY.

I would be stoked if they put Hold Your Colour, Blood Sugar, Granite, Propane Nightmares, Tarantula and Voodoo People on as DLC.

Pendulum would be great in RB. Heres some songs I would love to see.
The Other Side - great vocal track. Would be even better if they managed to get a live version, where the guitar track is more pronounced.
Showdown - good long bass song
Propane Nightmares - for obvous reasons, everybody loves it. Good guitar and vocal tracks
