    Was it Biggie Smalls?

I was reading the Rock Band Wikipedia page out of boredom and noticed this.

Recently, Harmonix has released songs over Xbox Live for paid download performed by Notorious B.I.G. made of vocal performance only. This sparked some controversy with the slain rapper's former wife, Faith Evans, who demanded the songs be taken down, citing the reason "He would never have wanted his music sullied this way. It is an insult to his memory." Since this, Evans's complaints followed by a lack of initiative to take down the downloadable content caused Evans to bring charges against Harmonix and is taking it to court. A court date has been scheduled for July 2012.
It has a citation for the February issue of Game Informer too. Seeing as it's Wikipedia, however, I just don't know.

Can't find that from the wiki article, but if true, that could certainly be seen as a licensing problem.

I think that must be referring to Dance Central? It specifies that the songs(s) were released (and have yet to be taken down), so it can't be talking about this week's unreleased songs, if that's what you're hinting at.

There are no B.I.G. songs in Rock Band that I'm aware of. But Flava in Ya Ear is on Dance Central, and features him as a guest artist

Interesting, HMX would be more sullied for having an association with Biggie Smalls, poor bastard. Definitely take some Tupac though.

I can't find anything about this, I'm honestly leaning toward that being someone cleverly defacing wikipedia.

    Fixed.

Wikipedia is no more or less deserving of your skepticism than any website.

That said, this is some pretty obvious trolling.

Closing thread because this just looks like standard Wikipedia vandalism to me.

It makes sense that someone vandalizing an article would choose a printed source that 99% of people can't check for themselves to see if it's true.
