I've seen Ke$ha live and enjoyed the hell out of her performance, but I also have a Swans album cover as my avatar because they're one of my favorite bands. People like what they like and no one should try to force their musical opinions on anyone else. This guy's just a boring dad-rocker.

I use to be one of the biggests buttheads on these boards. Nowadays I just try to ignore that stuff and bite my lip. Because its just not worth getting annoyed.

I understand, and I was tempted to remove it, but my last sentence was meant to be a criticism of his Luddite point of view rather than any actual insult to his music taste. I use "dad-rocker" to describe anyone who refuses to believe worthwhile music is still being created, for example. His point of view doesn't have anything new to present. We've all heard Justin Bieber jokes ad nauseum, and that's essentially what this article amounts to.

Also, Depeche Mode is my favorite band of all-time, and he mentions them in the article as a band who should've had a No. 1 single, so I'm certainly not complaining about the bands he chose to spotlight.
