It's a pretty darn big scene to be honest...

If getting an all metal RockBand game meant that we got NO more metal for RB3 DLC, RBN, and future main platform releases (RB4), then I would be all for it!!!

Some metal I have no beef with what so ever. Some of the best concerts I ever went to were Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Motely Crue, etc. back in the early to mid 1980s! But a large amount of the metal that I hear now a days is screaming/growling blast beat double bass pedal play as fast as you can crap...that just isn't my cup of tea.

So, I'm just saying if there comes a time when there is an all metal RB game, I think it would prefer it that all the metal be directed at that game henceforth.

    Let's see

    All That Remains
    Anthrax
    Avenged Sevenfold
    Disturbed
    Five Finger Death Punch
    Machine Head
    Opeth
    Pantera
    Skid Row
    Slipknot
    Trivium

Those alone would make this an instant purchase for me.

You're looking in the wrong directions. Power metal and regular heavy metal still has a large fanbase today and they have nothing to do with anything extreme.

Not disagreeing with you at all. But when I listen to the offerings that seem to come out most often as regular DLC or offerings on the RBN, it tends to be more of the types I personally dislike.

I will agree that the metal being served through RBN is more bad than good.

That it is, especially when incorporating stuff like Death/Doom and Funeral Doom Metal into the mix.

Most Black Metal fans I know are also Doom Metal fans, myself included. Those fan bases do have an overlap. Black Metal is more notorious due to the early 90's Norwegian Black Metal Scene.
Bands I'd love to see as DLC for Rock Band:

    Bathory []
    Bal Sagoth []
    Amorphis []
    Emperor [X]
    Enslaved []
