Well, might as well use my own thread for myself for once.
I'm having a hell of a lot of trouble sleeping, and i've pretty much tried everything to help get me to sleep. And when i mean trouble sleeping it's usually 3 days without any sleep at all.
i've tried pills, exercise, sleeping with music playing, music off. completely dark, lights on, sleeping alone, sleeping with my bf. eating before sleep, not eating anything after dinner.
pretty much everything. nothing worked at all.
anyone has a way that always works for him/her? please help..
oh, and dont say smoke some weed. not going to do that

This probably won't help much, but I take one single benedryl tablet about an hour before bed when I struggle to go to sleep. I spent many years fighting with insomnia. I have never had luck with any of the over the counter sleep aides, but, for some reason it has worked for me. I should note that I have allergies too, so that kind of kills two birds with one stone. I really hope you can get some relief. Also, fwiw...I know warm milk sounds like an obvious suggestion, and you may have tried it, but I do find it helpful. That or a bowl of cereal. Not froot loops though. Good luck![]()
i'll try it, thnx![]()

I've got one. And by one, I mean one of those God forsaken things called a teenager. (no offense to all the teens out there) I have an 18 year old who has dropped out of school, gotten in every amount of trouble possible for someone his age, and just recently gotten a job that only works him one day a week.
The problem is, he needs to grow the hell up and move on. He does nothing all day long except sleep and and sit at the computer all night long. I have been trying to encourage him to get his GED and even taken him to a school that offers night classes and bought him a GED book. He refused the classes stating "I will study on my own time, Mom". That happened twice, when I made him. With me. He seemed to know the info. Math is a little iffy, but he seems to know his stuff in the other areas. Does anyone have a clue what the chances are of him just taking it and passing? Does he have to do well in all subjects? He wants to go to college, but he is "so over this high school thing." His words.
Does anybody know the criteria for obtaining a GED? And if he fails will he be able to take it again and will we have to pay for it again? It's like $40 for the first time. Not sure if it's cheaper or not after the first try. At least if he tries and fails he will know what he needs to study and what the questions will be like.
Any advice would be appreciated.
you people don't ever post anything in here that i actually know something about do you?
I can tell you about my boyfriend, he was kinda like that. One day, his parents just kicked him out of the house, then he had to grow up.(which he did)
Not saying in any way you should take this advice, just letting you know what the closest thing is i've ever been to it
