This is a thing we've struggled with for a long time. We've always wanted to have full videos of new DLC releases hosted here on RockBand.com but licensing. The live stream is the best shot we have at exposing people to DLC before release in a way that doesn't ruffle any feathers.
FWIW, we've got nothing to do with YouTube channels getting shut down, that's all up to the labels / license holders. Sorry.
If everyone that made RB videos or hosted an RB bar night or threw an RB party or mentioned RB to a friend got their DLC for free then we would have gone out of business years ago. Beyond that, it's technically not something that people should be doing without the consent of the labels or bands involved. Supporting them financially (which is what long term DLC support amounts to) could be seen as a less than ideal arrangement if the labels or bands took issue with it.
Still, we try to support people that spread the gospel of RB as best we can, trusting that they're not doing it for freebies but because they enjoy it. If we can spread the word about quality videos or contribute to live stream fundraisers or send care packages once in a while then we'll do whatever we can to show our appreciation for people that champion RB.

Kept getting my channel banned from youtube so I gave up on Rock Band videos. Don't understand why the labels weren't on board from the beginning, honestly it was people like me that made videos every week and got even more people to buy the songs!
