This is a thing we've struggled with for a long time. We've always wanted to have full videos of new DLC releases hosted here on RockBand.com but licensing. The live stream is the best shot we have at exposing people to DLC before release in a way that doesn't ruffle any feathers.

FWIW, we've got nothing to do with YouTube channels getting shut down, that's all up to the labels / license holders. Sorry.

If everyone that made RB videos or hosted an RB bar night or threw an RB party or mentioned RB to a friend got their DLC for free then we would have gone out of business years ago. Beyond that, it's technically not something that people should be doing without the consent of the labels or bands involved. Supporting them financially (which is what long term DLC support amounts to) could be seen as a less than ideal arrangement if the labels or bands took issue with it.

Still, we try to support people that spread the gospel of RB as best we can, trusting that they're not doing it for freebies but because they enjoy it. If we can spread the word about quality videos or contribute to live stream fundraisers or send care packages once in a while then we'll do whatever we can to show our appreciation for people that champion RB.

I remember them, though I started Rock Band shortly before they stopped their DLC reviews.

And unless I missed it, I'd like to attract some attention to Bear's account. Lots of Pro Drums FC's, the occasional OMBFC and some terrible chokes. Excellent quality and excellent calibration too, for those who are extremely annoyed by that!

thenewnoelisoncruz is THE guy though. He's the guy that posts every video, every week, in all instruments mode, and pro charts. I don't care about anyone else, but you owe this guy BIG Harmonix.

You missed the part where its technically something we shouldnt be doing. Also that if HMX were to support even one person financially(which giving DLC basically is) might not be good of an artist/label has a problem with these videos.

Recently I've been recording RB videos and uploading them to my youtube channel. I'm not a Ppr Elite player, but I do all my runs in expert (pro when I can) not for scores, I do it just to populate youtube with more Rock Band videos to show my love for this game .

I don't buy all DLC, but I have a decent amount of songs. Also I do some RBN stuff.

    My channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/elkunde
    Xbox ID: elkunde
    ~1,300 songs on RB3
    DC1 and DC2

I know HMX wasn't the ones shutting down the channels. No need to apologize really Henry. Just a little upsetting you know? Every week I would put up videos for the drums, I was dedicated and I did it for the people, nothing for gain. Solely for spreading the word of Rock Band One of the best games of all time. Thank you for responding <3 you guys! Keep up the awesome work! Even tho I don't play as much anymore, I still buy songs time to time, almost 1,500 total!

I remember Jarr3tt88 and S1ckH4nds. Great channels. My go to channel now is http://www.youtube.com/user/Razputin217 since I play bass and he uploads each weeks songs playing bass. Don't overlook him Harmonix!
