    Ion Rocker double bass question

Hello. I'm new here and am a bit confused on the hardware forum rule. I guess I'm supposed to post here! I'm sorry if I'm just being an idiot and completely wrong with my understanding of the rule. Anyway, here's my question. I ordered an Ion Drum Rocker set on amazon. I used to play actual drums and had a double bass and really want that with these (I believe pro mode in rb3 supports double) but the price tag on the official one is really high. I think its just a 1/4 inch jack. So if I buy a 1/4 inch splitter (1 male to 2 female) can I use it to connect two peddles to the single jack on the module? Sorry if this has been asked but a quick search didnt help me! Thanks!

yes, that would work (95% sure)

but pro mode does not support 2x bass pedal. the only songs that do support it are the RBN downloadable songs that have (2x Bass version) behind their names, and those don't have 1 pedal drums.
my love is like a candle, if you forget me, i will burn your damn house down.

Actually, no, that won't work. The input for bass on the ION is essentially an on/off signal. If you hook two pedals up to a splitter, when you have one held down, it can't tell that the other one has been pressed, which means it's basically useless except for really slow usage.

You have a few different options. If you want to just take two of the ION pedals and get a double-bass setup out of that, then pick up this. However, you mentioned you're a drummer, so if you wanted to use your own pedals, then you can use a kick trigger connected to either this or this.

And Pro Mode has nothing to do with bass pedal, just enforcing that you use the cymbals. On the official RB2/3 drum kit, there's an extra jack that you can plug a pedal into that can be used either for bass (default) or as a hi-hat pedal in freestyle sections. Neither one's going to add any more notes to the chart though.

Thanks. Some of the parts are too fast for my foot so I thought a double bass might help a bit. (I have slow feet )

    Thanks for all the help!

I've had the Ions since RB1 (I think, maybe RB2?) and recently (last Christmas) got the Roadie kit with the 2nd pedal and kick box adapter. It works like it should but for me (not a real drummer...ever) the double bass pedals just confuses me. Every once in a while I hook the thing up and promptly remember why it's tucked happily away in a drawer. Of course everything I've learned to play on RB has made me want to stuff it away in a drawer at first so I'm probably an idiot for not making myself adapt and learn how to use it. Ion makes a smaller unit but I haven't tried it or know anyone who has.
