I have a hunch that if HMX was interested in doing another band-centric title...that is something that U2 has been holding out for. Honestly, I don't think a U2-centric title would sell any better than Green Day did.

I think Zeppelin and Metallica could support their own games. Unfortunately, one isn't interested, and the other's already done it.

Every other band is tilting at windmills if they think they're getting their own game that will actually be profitable for the publisher.

Does it come with it's own bong peripheral?

I like the Eagles, too, but man...that would be a very laid back setlist.

But what if there were ZOMBIES or LASERS involved?

    Or ZOMBIES WITH LASERS!?!?!?

    What say you now, self?

If HMX could figure out how to handle characters/avatars as DLC, could that solve this problem? Because then the "track pack" is a bunch of song files AND actual representations of the licensed band members. Then, you can maybe have a better chance of selling it to the band that "this is their own game" in a way.

The animations are stock. Then you just need to expose the models on top of them. No idea how this would work with online play (maybe if band-centric skin not present, just show the Duke of Gravity or something stock.)

Or would this require a title update every time characters were being added?

I've heard that since I've returned to the RB forums, and I'm curious to know, why can't they do albums? Has it just gotten too economically risky for them?
    Wishlist:

    Moar Grateful Dead:
    Led Zeppelin (I can dream, can't I?):
    Pink Floyd:
    Moar Who:
    Moar Ratt:

Why do people even want another band-centric game? The biggest acts in Rock 'n Roll that are willing already have done so, and any other artist would be another "Green Day: Rock Band." I could see maybe a track pack like AC/DC being possible, but a game in the vain of The Beatles or Green Day doesn't seem likely anymore.

    GD:RB should've been RHCP:RB, and GD:GH should've been shelved instead

... Led Zeppelin: RB would still be amazing though, no matter how unlikely it is

Whether such games are profitable for HMX is another matter altogether. But anectdotal evidence shows that this is a tough economic climate for such things.

Some people probably want certain band-centric titles because they understand that the ONLY way some of these acts would ever appear on the platform would be through their own title. The question is: will these bands accept a limited "track pack" physical disk (like AC/DC), or do they want the full Beatles treatment. The former might be doable if the band were big/popular enough, the latter probably is out of the question forever at this point.
