It's not like I have a PS3. Since my main game is Rock Band, I'll stick with my Xbox.

As for what this may cause... yeah, I can expect to see a lot of backlash if this makes it into major games.

Yep read about this a few weeks ago. I can't imagine it being implemented in retail games.

And just like the theory of prohibiting used games on the next gen consoles, I imagine it will be cross-platform, or not at all, to avoid alienating one console market.
