Rock Band Blitz: It's the Chess of games.
I perform the greatest karaoke rendition of Born To Run that you'll ever hear. And that is no lie.

Good question! You only need a Silver account. Were the multiplayer gameplay in RB Blitz synchronous, we wouldn't be able to say that.

Also, let's all pitch in an send a switch/router to Rock_Starman.

    Oh THAT'S why!
I have a cocoon that's parked in a tree, that is full of guys that do nothing but play a video game that uses a little plastic baby guitar.

Does this mean the RB3 servers will get this update/upgrade as well to fix the issues it has? Or is it even possible?

Well, no, because that's just mere unlocking, and find me a console arcadey title that doesn't have that. No, what I am talking about is seemingly making it so you have to keep unlocking these powerups instead of, y'know, leaving them unlocked.

I read the other post explaining the reason, but this is likely a deal break for me. We have way to many wired connections too the internet at our place (the main computer, Xbox, and old computer and 2 that I used from work at home - and the router only has 4 slots), the Xbox being one of them. I tend to plug the Xbox in when I download stuff, but not during play.

But if the powerups and such are online only, or require Gold access, I won't be using those. Which livened up the gameplay. I double I'll be playing this anywhere as much as I thought I was going to. I don't care about leaderboards, but the extra gameplay with power-ups looked fun.

    Ah well.

Online connectivity only is one of the reasons I don't play PC games much, and why we stopped buying Xbox live indie games.

There are all sorts of weird edge cases that have to be handled.
Seems like you did just fine with the prior titles... :/ #justsayin

My last post was a bit harsh. I will wait to see how the game is - if nothing else I get a cool game, even without powerups.
