"Rock Band: Nickelback" was somebody's joke, but since that somebody worked here, it got picked up as official when the NY Times was visiting.

Internally, before the RBN project had a name, we just called it the UGC project (for "User Generated Content"). Or even "that thing Nord's working on."

And really, am I the only person here who doesn't hate Nickelback? Sure they aren't the greatest band but I've heard worse... Rebecca Black, anyone? So long as the songs have guitar/bass/drum parts I don't see why people complain about them being in Rock Band, but I guess that's just me being more open-minded.
