Here's the thing I don't get about some of these songs being pulled for possible legal issues:

There's been songs in the past that directly reference a licensed property (such as Gordon Freeman Saved My Life), yet when it comes to ponies, not even the most vague reference to a specific name or event is allowed. It can't be illegal to use the word "Rarity" in a song that has the word "pony" in it, can it?

Is it even illegal to sing about a pony named Rarity? there's a pretty big chance that there is someone in the world that has a pony named like that

Yeah I also find that a bit strange, also The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny namedrops like 50 different licensed names and characters and that passed just fine so not sure why things are like they are with these

it is even weirder how Hay Ms Derpy is stopped... Derpy Hooves is just the fan name for the character

It's, if I remember correctly, a mixture of the fact that this group has a widely-obvious focus on the MLP series, as Bront exclaimed, and also that Hasbro has been recently cracking down on fan-made MLP content being released to the public. (Google: the Fighting is Magic fan-game.) They've also been known to be particularly relentless when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Harmonix is being extremely careful not to cause issues between us and them. It's understandable. No one likes Cease and Desist letters or threats of lawsuits, especially from a marketing giant like Hasbro.

She was named in an episode in season 2 (The one where Applejack goes off to win prize money at the Rodeo). An episode they later edited because it was considered offensive to the mentally challenged.

Well... Right when brony songs start getting more involved, RBN happens to get cut off for PS3. Well, at least I can stalk the forums and at least look at the charts once they are released...

...Oh, and since I am bored and curious at the same time right now, I'd like to know what's up the requests. People have been requesting stuff, but the current song list has been the same since August. I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and assume its because there are already so many songs in cue; don't want to make a bunch of promises that can't be kept (or at least won't be for quite a while)

And yet removing her like so is literally offensive cause it shows to us mentall challenged people that we are not wanted and it is best to remove us...

Anyways. I'm personally gonna start making custom songs and such. Idk about submitting them and such to RBN but I will surely try if I get permission to do so. Most likely though, I'll just do them as customs rather than officially for RBN cause of the whole permission thing... Oh well!
