There was a supposed leak of the final 10 songs; since the "leak" was posted four of the songs on it were confirmed by HMX. If this rumor is true, two of the remaining songs would be "Spoon Man" and "Give It Away", which did not export from RB2, with four other songs new to Rock Band.

Good lord, that "leak" reads like a terrorist manifesto. Wish I could see the original missive to Joystiq he claims he wrote.

"If my demands are not met by noon tomorrow, one song will be leaked for every hour you delay! The streets will run red, green, yellow, blue and orange with your leaks!!!"
I have a cocoon that's parked in a tree, that is full of guys that do nothing but play a video game that uses a little plastic baby guitar.

I just love how self-important the post sounds. I have no doubt about the veracity of the post, but seriously, it's just incredible how he makes it sound like it's something that will change the fate of the world.

That whole "that patch isn't what they say it was for!" thing is also horribly over-dramatic and can be deduced by anyone who knows anything about Rock Band customs, and anyone who imported RB1 EU to RB3 and can put two and two together. Security patches hardly ever disclose the reasons they are done. Harmonix has already succeeded in their nefarious plan to drain my wallet of its money, so I can't imagine any other insidious plans their patch may have been used for.

so he/she is a disgruntled ex-employee or he/she works at 1st Party. When submitting to 1st party with patches you do need to provide them with a list of what you are changing. That info is generally not made available unless the developer wants to reveal it so they would only speak to features generally.

whomever they are they are a douche, but they do seem to have some inside knowledge.

Since when was there 5 RB3 patches or are they referring to something else?

    This is interesting:
I can also tell you that the songs will be released in one pack, called Rock Band Blitz Soundtrack, weighing 766MB, which downloads directly to the Rock Band 3 folder.
I wonder how big the game will be. I'm running low on space.

Not 100% sure but XBLA games need to be less then 2 GB in size unless that has changed recently. So I'd prepare for 2 GB, though I imagine it will be about 1.2

How low and how big is your HDD? Maybe it's time for an upgrade if you don't have the largest one already.

I decided that from now on I'm waiting for "Games on Demand" downloads of any game I'm interested in since no longer play multiplayer shooters (for which you really need to learn the nooks and crannies of all of the maps early if you want to be competitive). This prompted me to upgrade, and since I was interested in Kinect I upgraded to a "slim" at the same time, selling my old Jasper Elite to a friend.

Cool, thanks. I gotta say, I'm still on the fence with Blitz, since there are only 5 songs I want. $3 a pop? Hmm, I don't know.

My one gripe with Downloadable games in general is that there is no resale value. I prefer a boxed copy if I can get it. Granted I made an exception for RB3 where I own a disc and Games on Demand copy.
