Please help me pro drums issue!

Okay, so I'm kinda new to this forum so be gentle on me, but I have a problem.

Every once in a while I download a new song on rockband, and for some reason the Pro Drum pattern gets messed up.
By messed up I mean, Notes that are originally meant to be played on the pads come as cymbal hits, making certain fills almost impossible to do. This has happened to me on the following songs

The Hounds Of Anubis by The Word Alive
The Final Episode by Asking Alexandria
    Disengage By Suicide Silence
A Little Faster By There For Tomorrow.

I know the notes are meant to be played on the pads and not the cymbals because you can hear a tom note playing when hitting those specific notes. It's as though the chart has reversed all cymbal notes to pads and all pad notes to cymbals. I feel as though it's a settings problem that I'm overlooking or something like that...but if anyone has any suggestions it'd be greatly appreciated

Those look like RBN songs. If they were released before a certain point (can't remember when exactly), then that's an error with the charting. HMX told RBN authors how to properly chart Pro Drums AFTER they'd been releasing songs, so on the earlier RBN stuff, that's what happens. "I'm Amazed" by My Morning Jacket and "Bodies" by Drowning Pool both do that, too. My solution: just play them on regular drums.
It's spelled "Squier." Stop spelling it like someone who is in training to be a knight.

It's not you, it's the song. Pro Drums charted was introduced to RBN authors a little bit before RBN 2.0 came out, so almost all RBN 1.0 songs don't have Pro Drums charting. Unfortunately, with how Pro Drums were implemented, everything gets turned into a cymbal if it doesn't have Pro Drums charting. You'll have to remember which songs are RBN 1.0 and only play them on regular Drums.

Many older RBN songs chart all toms as cymbals (because RBN authors weren't informed how to correctly put in cymbal information prior to RB3 or thereabouts).

(ouch, ninja'd legitimately AND due to time warping)

You can still play them the way you want, you only have to listen to distinguish cymbal vs. tom. Also, less points, but there's nothing to be done about that.
