Trying to contact the band directly here is a dead end, at least for me. If someone goes after this one, a label is your best bet.
I went to Harmonix and ordered a pepperoni pizza. Instead, they gave me a cheese pizza and told me that I could buy one pepperoni slice every week.

Hell to the yeah. Probably my most-wanted band for RBN. I know their label is called Giant Electric Pea and I think it's their own. I will buy ANY song from this band, day 1.

FeelAbout, who already has a song on RBN, has a new album coming out in a few months. I don't think the authoring group who did their first song (Stop) is still active. It'd be awesome if another group could get more.

Has anyone looked into Viking Funeral Records?

They are now the home of Death By Stereo, and Authority Zero, who has a song in rockband already.

Pennywise also has a record on the way under this label.

Not sure how hard it would be to get into contact with a dead band, but has anyone tried going after The Fall of Troy? They've had DLC in GH, a disk song in GH3, and their label Equal Vision Records has had their other bands go through RBN as well, i.e. Texas in July and Chiodos. If it's not possible, you could try going after Thomas's new band Just Like Vinyl, but that's last resort kind of stuff lol.

Example songs from different albums (A.K.A songs I would prefer to have on RBN lol):
    Ex-Creations
I Just Got This Symphony Goin'
    Reassurance Rests In The Sea

Anything of this kind of genre would be nice, I know we have songs from Dance Gavin Dance, and they're pretty similar I think.

    I'll recommend a few.

The Classic Crime is currently independent, though their first three albums were on Tooth & Nail Records. I'm unsure whether they own the rights to their songs or if you'd have to ask T&N, but I've attempted contacting the band before and they haven't responded. Some of their amazing work includes The Fight, Medisin, God and Drugs, Solar Powered Life and Seattle

    I also would reccomend
The Ting Tings, they are a British duo who had the hit single "That's Not My Name" that received a lot of radio airplay, has been in several movies such as Horrible Bosses, and in general is just an awesome song. I think that they currently are on Roc Nation right now. Some more of their popular work (many of which you may have heard in various commercials) includes "Shut Up And Let Me Go" "Hands" (Hands was in a FIFA game and gained a lot of popularity because of it) "Fruit Machine" "Great DJ" and my personal favorite, "Hang It Up"

And finally, I would absolutely love "L'Via L'Viaquez" by The Mars Volta* (Which was formed by former members of At The Drive-In, a band that is already part of Rock Band's ever-expanding library). Though I don't know what label they are on, so they very well could be on one of the labels that doesn't trust the RBN.

*= The version of the song in the link is the Radio version, the album version is twelve minutes long, and it would be grand if that could be the version we get if this song is brought to the platform

For any Authoring Groups that took the time to read this post and follow the links for consideration, I thank you.
Thanks Harmonix for funally giving us Sublime/311/FoS/MB20! LOVE YOU GUYS!
Now please give me The Ting Tings!

I apologize, as a lot of this is cross-posted from the TAG thread and a little bit unorganized:

    The Birthday Massacre (Metropolis Records)
    The Creatures (Sioux Records/Instinct Records)
    Kore Rozzik (Unsigned: contact)
West 44th Street, FifthRowBack, and Frank & Dependent (Connected bands, all unsigned: contact)
    Chris Centeno (Unsigned: contact)
    Robots in Disguise (President Records)
Giant Drag (Kickball Records [one album]/Roar Scratch Records [present]: band contact; frontwoman Annie Hardy's Tumblr, which she checks often) (I've actually talked to Annie Hardy, and she said she'd be cool with the band's music in RBN, so if anyone wants to go for it, you've got at least one guaranteed purchase here!)
Amanda Palmer (Roadrunner Records [former label, includes much of hers and The Dresden Dolls' catalog]/Unsigned [present, includes The Dresden Dolls' "A Is for Accident" live album recorded pre-Roadrunner]: contact)
    Metric (Last Gang)
Nine Inch Nails/How to Destroy Angels (The Null Corporation)

Might I also recommend the A Different Drum synthpop label? They had a significant number of their artists featured in the Xbox Dance Dance Revolution games, so they're certainly open to music games. From their roster, I'd recommend checking out:
    Raindancer
    Echo Image
    Neuropa
    Iris
    Daybehavior

More Christian Death (if possible, Only Theatre of Pain material)
    Peter Murphy
    Ladytron

Claire London. I had the pleasure of seeing her open for Freezepop in November in celebration of her debut album's release. She's a very talented performer, has a really tight backing band, and (most importantly) the songs are brilliant: definitely worth keeping an eye out for. Her music's a mix of blues and soul; recommended for fans of Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga's less dance-oriented songs. I believe her album's out on The Outlet Music.

More Tribe: we've already got "Outside" in Rock Band 1, plus they're a Harmonix band. Their later albums are on Slash Records, but their first album's an independent release. I found the drummer's e-mail address on his website.

    Mission of Burma
    Count Zero
    More Death of the Cool
    Megasus
    That Handsome Devil
    More Tijuana Sweetheart
The Amazing Crowns [signed to Time Bomb Records, I believe]
    Made in Mexico
    More The Acro-Brats
    Drist
    Music from Homestar Runner
