I'm so glad to see that Ne Obliviscaris will be coming to RBN soon! I also see that Ava Inferi has a song up on it as well now. When I saw that Ava Inferi was on the RBN, it inspired me to submit more music seeing as they seem to be getting a lot of stuff that interests me lately.

Here's a few bands that I would love to see in this game. A bit different than stuff that I normally see.

    Autumn's Grey Solace - Ethereal Wave/Dream Pop

    The Daysleepers - Ethereal/Dream Pop

    Corde Oblique - Ethereal/Neoclassical/Folk

    Neun Welten - Dark Folk

    Air Formation - Shoegaze/Dream Pop/Alternative

Aenima - Ethereal/Gothic Rock (Same singer of Ava Inferi :3)

Built to Spill - A great band that's been around since the early ninties. Currently signed to a major label; however, the tracks I've listed below are from their first two albums (okay, mostly from their second album), which were released on independent labels - C/Z and Up respectively. I haven't heard anything about either labels' position on the RBN, though.

    Top 3:

    Three Years Ago Today
    Big Dipper
    Car

    Other Great Tracks:

    In the Morning
    Reasons
    Twin Falls
    Distopian Dream Girl
    Stab

Cymbals Eat Guitars - Good new music. The instrumentals are all interesting throughout and the tracks are great. Their first album was self-released while their second album was released on Barsuk Records. Again, a record label I haven't seen mentioned in regards to their thoughts on RBN. As for material from their first album, you would have to speak with the band directly.

    Top 3:

    ...And the Hazy Sea
    Wind Phoenix (Proper Name)
    Shore Points

    Other Great Tracks:

    Some Trees (Merritt Moon)
    Indiana
    Living North
    Keep Me Waiting
    Secret Family

Superchunk - One of the best bands that I never see anyone talking about. Seriously, they're really good. I had a hard time choosing which songs to single out. I could most definitely list 40 songs worth listening to (as proven by my 40-track Superchunk playlist). As for liscensing, the guitarist/vocalist and bassist founded Merge Records. So talking with the band and talking with the label would essentially be the same thing. It all depends on if they're interested.

    Top 3:

    Hyper Enough
    Detroit Has a Skyline
    Digging for Something

    Other Great Tracks:

    Seed Toss
    Precision Auto
    Cursed Mirror
    My Gap Feels Weird
    Learned to Surf

The Thermals - This is a band that used to be a contender for the position of my favorite band. They used to be so angry and political. Their 2009 album "Now We Can See" marked a turning point in the band's sound, the lead single of which actually gave me hope for their future, but they've since become a little too poppy for my taste. Their earlier stuff, however, is still killer. Their first three albums were released on Subpop, and with TAG's announcement that they have rekindled their interest in RBN, I would hope that means some Thermals down the line.

    Top 3:

    Let Your Earth Quake, Baby
    Power Doesn't Run on Nothing
    Now We Can See

    Other Great Tracks:

    How We Know
    A Stare Like Yours
    Here's Your Future
    An Ear for Baby
    A Pillar of Salt

Yuck - With only one album so far, Yuck was the band with the smallest well of songs to choose from. But I feel like all of these tracks are worthy of the game and would be a lot of fun to play. Their eponymous debut album was released on Fat Possum Records last year to much critical acclaim. Again, haven't heard anything about Fat Possum in regards to the RBN.

    Top 3:

    Get Away
    Georgia
    Operation

    Other Great Tracks:

    The Wall
    Shook Down
    Holing Out
    Stutter
    Sunday

NOTE: Neither the Top 3 nor the Other Great Tracks sections are in a particular ranking order.

NOTE #2: I think it's funny that I had to omit two separate songs by two separate bands because of f*** being used in the titles.

I apologize for such a long post, and I know it seems like I'm asking for a lot. But these are all bands I'm passionate about and would love to get just about anything from them. I still check the weekly DLC every Friday in hopes that there will be something I have even a remote interest in (usually to no avail), but I know I'll never see something that would get me as excited as any of these songs would. It seems that the Rock Band Network is my only hope, and it's a bummer to see that there are often complications with getting good tracks to license. I hope that the only reason these bands aren't on RBN is due to lack of trying on the authors' parts and not lack of interest on the bands' parts.

I'm excited about this news. I hadn't discovered them until the RBN, and I bought their album Onyx the same day I heard "Majesty" for the first time.

I'm guessing the clearances would probably be impossible, but this is perhaps the only song that, if it came to RBN, I would gladly pay $3 for.

Rockband has an awesome selection already, but it's still missing so much. There are so many songs out there that deserve a chance to be enjoyed! I'd love to see so many make it to the RBN, some like these:

    Fearless - Falling Up
    Gold Forever - The Wanted
    Doesn't Remind Me - Audioslave
Until the Day I Die - Story of the Year
She Wants to Be Me - Busted
Nowhere With You - Joel Plaskett
It's Not Good Enough - April Sixth
    Bar-Ba-Sol - David Cook
She's So High - Tal Bachman
    Supersonic - Bad Religion

Honestly there are a good handful more i'd love to point out, but, baby steps!

What are the chances of getting some Fall of Troy in RBN?
