    RB1 Instruments on RB2/RB3

    Hey all,

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I can't post it in the Hardware forum and I've searched for this topic but didn't get the answers I wanted.

For the XBOX 360, are there any problems with using RB1 instruments (drums and guitars) on RB2 or RB3? I read in another thread that PS3 players were having problems with RB1 drum sets on RB2, with dropped notes and such. Are there any problems like that on the XBOX 360?

Can anyone with experience give some input?

    Thanks!

Dropped notes happen because the drums are defective or broken in someway. It has nothing to do with the game you are playing them in.

The RB1 guitar has well known issues with dropped notes. The strum bar was defective or something. I did a Pete Townshend impression with mine. The RB2 is better.

Also the RB1 drum set isn't upgradable with the cymbal set, so there's that.

RB1 stuff works just fine with any game.
I still play all my RB1 stuff [yes, even the drums]!

All I've had to do is a quick insertion of paper in my guitar contact, and I had to order a new yellow pad once [and gonna need a new blue one soon] because I play a little rough sometimes.

My PS3 RB1 Stratocaster and drum kit work in RB3. I don't use either one because I have better instruments these days, but they do work. There were a few problems with the velocity sensitivity on the drum kits between versions, but as far as I know, those have long since been ironed out with patches.

I've got a couple RB1 guitars that still work just fine in RB3. I mean, their tilt sensitivity went all wonky so I disconnected the tilt sensors, but otherwise they behave as they always did / as they should.

Though I do the vast majority of my playing on a GHWT guitar anyway.
