Wayne's World
I'd say Live at Pompeii, but that's a concert film.

We need sludgey and droney and stonery metal:
Dirge
Sleep
Bongripper
Sunn O)))
Electric Wizard
Earth
Neurosis
Cult of Luna
It feels like "disney making an indie film", but even with that I enjoyed it and the ska-inspired pop tunes presented is fun and tasteful.5. Bandslam
Horribly underrated/overlooked. Probably because anyone that would like it sees Vanessa Hudgens and Aly Michalka, say ewww then runs away.

Am I the only one wondering how Scott Pilgrim is a music movie? I get that they're in a band, and there's even songs, but that's not really a music movie, is it?

"Music related movie" sounds like a pretty broad term, which I think is why movies like Wayne's World are popping up in people's lists. Maybe once we hear the podcast, we can understand the context in which this was being discussed, because right now it sounds like any movie where someone briefly plays an instrument or even mentions music is eligible. By that logic, A Clockwork Orange, Dark City and Back to the Future could all be considered "music related" movies.

I could argue that The Boat That Rocked is another music related movie, mainly because there's not much music, other than the story's about a pirate radio station.
Speaking of radio stations, Airheads is kind of music related too...if you count a band hijacking a radio station, then you get like two music references in one movie.
