Question What would it take to get pro-drums in TB:RB?

This is meant as a serious question!

    * Code for pro-drums exists in RB3 so it might 'just' need conversion
    * Pro-drum notation was included since RB1 (just not used) so I'm guessing the pro-drum notation for TB:RB is alredy there
    * Since it would just be a patch for the existing game I assume it wouldn't require any new licensing

All of this leads me to believe that it could be just a time/money issue. The demand is probably not that high so I could fully understand the reluctance to spend the money.

BUT, depending on what dollar number we'd be talking about, maybe a kickstarter campaign could get us there! The pro-drummers out there might be willing to pay more than expected to get the feature and in any case the project would only go ahead once enough pledges are in. It should be possible to make the spend interesting for Harmonix. The kickstarter campaign should have some added benefits with regards to advertising and could work as a test case for maybe other things (pro-guitar/base?).

Never mind that you can't use Kickstarter to fund other people's projects without their permission, even if you could solve the (probably non-existent) money problem, what about finding time to completely change the engine for a 3 year old game on top of everything else they're working on?

It's about time they brought out the Beatles on the RB3 format , Very happy to pay for the new game.
    It's nice to dream.

No one cares if you're willing to pay. That's not the issue is that RINGOSBEAT was being stubborn for the last three years.

Not enough money or man hours to port the entire game over to a new engine for what is most likely a very minuscule portion of the Rock Band market.

To me it seems that with regards to things like these time = money. It might be inefficient and costly to hire someone to specifically to do the conversion but it should be possible to put a price tag on that. It may be prohibitive but it would still answer my question.

With regard to Kickstarter, I never thought to run it myself! I just wanted to throw out there that this could be a way for Harmonix to do it.

Hmmm...I think it would take direct action/funding by Sir Paul McCartney himself would be the only way this happens!

(which is about as likely to happen as the hand of the god of your choice pointing his finger at all HMX and saying "make it so!!!"
