Wrong thread for me to ask this, but it's a happening thread right now so I'll ask anyway since I'm sure it's in this forum somewhere - with the release of Blitz next week, is there not going to be a regular DLC release to go along with it? ...this would mean no Pro G/B songs and nothing for Wii and nothing for xboxers on Tuesday?

Is it official that 8/28 will not feature any DLC (aside from the Track Pack also known as Blitz)? I wouldn't expect that RBN releases would take the week off, but having regular DLC offered in addition to the new game doesn't seem essential to me. I suppose Wii owners would disagree.

Total Song Library = 1,010 songs, including ALL games and track packs that can be exported into RB3

I should mention that I based my original post on this from Rockbandaide: "This week we found out the rest of the Rock Band Blitz setlist, and with the game coming out on the 28th, or 29th if you’re on Xbox 360, this is our last piece of DLC before Blitz comes out. Let’s see what’s coming…"

I guess if it's just used as an excuse to group decades together I understand... but then saying "I like modern rock" kind of means you like some "classic rock" also. My point is, the label is dumb and the Black Keys remind me of something you would hear on "Classic Rock Radio".
Well, in the 1980s (when I was going to concerts by Iron Maiden, Motely Crue, Journey, Def Leppard, Billy Squier, Ozzy, etc...), the rock music of that time was not considered "Classic Rock." So, I believe that it's a label/genre of music from time periods (or "Decades" like Clapton said) that in not static, but changes over the years.

Using your "Bigger Bang" example, to me it's a "rock" song (or modern rock if your prefer) by a classic rock band (but I don't consider 1997 to be old enough to be "classic" yet). But, as time progresses a song like "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters (released in the mid-1990s) will be considered "classic rock" (even though it may fall under a different specific genre).

Just this old guys' thoughs on what is "classic rock."

Black Keys are one of my favorite modern bands.

In 30 years, they'll be classic rock.

you should check out their other songs, they have a pretty big library for the time they've been around. aside from howlin for you, the other 2 tracks aren't my favorite.

gold on the ceiling as someone mentioned before would of been awesome. the breaks is cool song but it would too easy for guitar.

I'm extremely excited. Fantastic band, fantastic song choices.

This was one of the many bands I predicted, and I predicted all three songs as well (although my prediction was a 4-pack, with "Gold on the Ceiling" included. I'm so glad my prediction was correct. Thank you, Harmonix. I am eternally grateful, not only for bringing us more from The Black Keys, but for everything you do.

I hope the next pack has "Dead and Gone" and "Gold on the Ceiling" and any song from Brothers (so we can get album sorting for it and El Camino), but what you gave us is essentially the perfect Black Keys 3-pack.

Overall, this is just so wonderful. Probably my favorite DLC of the year so far.
    It's Studzz, it's Studdz.

    Studdz wins the honey pot.

Picked the songs, fair and square.

    Y'all can kiss his derriere.

    You get the honey, enjoy!
