A kind pass for me this week. I was expecting "Gold On The Ceiling", but whatever.

They all seem pretty boring on bass and repetitive on drums. Can't say about guitar. On keys these songs seems cool.

I might get Lonely Boy in a distant future, and maybe Tighten Up, even if it seems really too repetitive on drums.

One of my local radio stations (which I have reason to believe is geared towards the alternative/indie crowd) can't get enough of the Keys. Seriously, every song this week (save for Lonely Boy, which I knew well enough already) was, to me, an "Oh, THAT song!" moment because of how often these were played on that station.

If that's your personal opinion, then I have nothing to say, since we all have our own musical tastes.

But, the way you wrote it comes across as a statement of fact, which I would highly dispute. I am quite willing to bet that the Foo Fighters have a much larger fan base than the Black Keys.
(The Foo Fighters was just one example of a rock band that is still releasing music and getting radio play of their new songs, thus meeting the "current day" part of your statement, even though they have been around since the mid 1990s).

I can't help but laugh at the idea of The Black Keys being unknown. I hear them on the radio all the time especially Howlin For You and Lonely Boy.

Great pack! Wasn't a fan of their first one, but this one has three of my four favorite. That being said, if this could have been a four pack w/ 'Gold On the Ceiling,' that woulda been kinda nice. Last 4-pack we got was a huge waste on Pink...

Perhaps I heard a song from time to time on the radio, but had no idea who they were. If I did hear one of their songs, I didn't like it enough to take note of it and attempt to find out who the artist was or buy any of their music. So, I honestly never heard of them until they started getting songs on various music based video games (Rockband and Rocksmith).

Well, whatever your excuse is, your attempt to extrapolate your own ignorance into a statement that the Black Keys, a band that is Grammy-winning, platinum-selling, and chart topping, is unknown, says a lot more about you than it says about The Black Keys.

Whatever the excuses for your ignorance, I don't know (I was guessing at teenage music because that's the usual excuse for people who haven't heard of popular older or adult-appeal artists, because such people are sheltered into the tastes of their peer group and usually don't grow to explore and discover music on their own initiative until adulthood). But I don't especially care whether you're living in a bunker or just only listening to your old LPs. Either way you're clearly out of touch.

What I do care about is when you cast aspersions about the popularity of a band based on your limited world view and then repeatedly argue when people provide evidence that you're wrong.

    This is cool. Bought.

Thanks for the much improved DLC this month, keep it coming.
