What kind of RockBand.com content would you like to see?

    Hey gang,

With nearly 5 years of Rock Band content under our belts, we've done and talked about a lot of stuff. I mean, like, A LOT of stuff. I'm not sure how much time you spend over in [url="http://www.rockband.com/blog"]The Blog[/url"] but it is literally jammed to overflowing with interviews, videos, articles, podcasts, dev write ups and more.

Every once in a while we like to check in with the community to see what kind of stuff you like, what you don't like, what you want to see more of, etc. NOW IS THAT TIME. There are a bunch of regular features that we plan to keep in rotation (most notably the weekly livestreams and the bi weekly podcasts) but we want to use this thread as a way for the community to request specific content, volunteer for specific content and generally let us know how you'd like to see us focus The Blog.

Feel free to weigh in on any of the options above or write in your own suggestions. We're open to pretty much anything provided that we have the tools and the bandwidth. Let us know what you think!

Oh, and the poll allows multiple selections, so vote away!

The one thing I'd love to have in the blog (and on the podcast, for that matter) would be a Q&A article/segment. (I'm thinking about how great the sporadic Q&As are over at Rockbandaide.) Forum folks always seem to come up with really great questions relating to HMX, DLC, etc. and sometimes they are answered within a specific thread. But often they end up lost and simply slip through the cracks of the internet.

If you guys could regularly address some of these questions in either a written or spoken format, that would be my choice. Maybe you could set up a thread to collect the questions and then pick a few from time to time to answer? I think that would be the bee's knees.

How about a "Rock Band HOT 5" song listing, kinda like the Billboard HOT 100. Every song released in the past six months is listed in order of which ones have sold the most and the top five are listed. This list could be compiled from your sales data. It should be on the main web page and on facebook. It will show everyone which songs are generating the most interest and might even increase sales of those songs a little.

    Wink

I tweeted that I want to see more DLC early announcements and teasers, but couldn't properly convey all my thoughts in 140 characters.

I'd like to see these announcements tied to some of the other suggestions in the poll. For example, do an interview with, say, Megadeth, and tie that interview to an early announcement that there is more Megadeth in the pipeline. Review a classic concert, and then announce that we are getting content from that artist. Stuff like that. We as a community like early teases/announcements, and this, in my opinion, is a way to make those announcements fun.

Edit: I have no idea where that smiley face came from, but I cant get rid of it!

If we can see rough sales like Sayburr said, that would be delightful. Other than that, I said music history stuff.

I am definitely in favor of RBN Artist interviews. I always love to hear from RBN Artists. Especially ones that are active on the forums.

I did check other options, as well. Pictures, interviews with devs, those are always cool. Oh yeah and LIVE STREAMS like you guys have done once or twice are always fun. Where we ask questions, etc. Hear behind the scenes stuff. Those are great.
    meh
