Is there any way to check the actual progress of the Facebook goals in game or do you have to sit with the laptop open/next to a Pc?

As far as I can tell, while the game will tell you that you've made progress in a goal on the 'cred' screen, it will not tell you when you've completed it (except when you can tell implicitly, e.g. you played a metal song and you're no longer getting progress on a 'play metal songs' goal, therefore you must have finished it).

As an aside, I've never received Facebook notifications from RBW, about goals or anything else. I've seen a little '1' number beside the app listing, but I've never been able to determine if it's supposed to be a notification or a message of some kind, or where to go to see it, etc. Any help here?

You should be getting notifications when:

    1) You complete a goal
    2) Your friend asks you for help on a Goal
    3) Your friend taunts you in a Score War

The third one is a standard wall post, the other two are in-app notifications that should appear on the homepage of the app when you launch it. They should always appear as App notifications over the RBWorld Icon.

Facebook controls whether or not these notifications appear as the little red numbers in your notification list on their site, it's not up to us.

Can we start score wars in RBW? I have a friend (really I do), I can select him in the pulldown, then I have the DLC pulldown which has the little blue profile beside the tracks we both have... so I select one of those, and then...?

There doesn't seem to be a create or submit button of any kind. I've tried it in Chrome and IE and neither one lets me 'do' anything after choosing a track.

Would this be the behaviour if my friend already has ten pending incoming score wars? If so, could you guys make, like, a button that says that so the user isn't just stuck wondering what to do next?

I wasn't comparing the two games. I was just saying that it is possible to update things like goals/challenges without "patching" the game.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but i've got score wars submitted by friends that I can't play. I've checked the FB app, and i've got two challenges, but I can't play them. I've played the songs, but my scores haven't shown up, and i can't find them anywhere in game. Any ideas?
SillyStou: What will happen to this place when Rock Band ceases to exist?
RockBandRocker: We will all migrate to the Dance Central forums. It will be like Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt.
Munnchy: Only Flashier, with impeccable dance moves.
RockBandRocker: With more glitter and glam. We will survive

Harmonix: What sort of information is shared and can been seen by others using this App? I usually keep my profile just to friends. What sort of privacy options are there? Is it still possible to contribute without adding a bunch of new people I don't actually know to my profile? (don't use FB much)

I apologize if this has already been said, but how exactly do you get those extra coins? I linked my facebook account, and completed two of the basic goals. When I check the status of those goals, it says I was awarded 400 coins. But where are they? My coin count did not increase and it did not award them at the end of the song. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hi Nord. Thanks for the response. I guess I was confused in thinking that RBW notifications would be the same as general Facebook notifications. I see now that they're different sorts of things. I haven't had 2) or 3) happen yet, but I have completed goals and I'm not sure where I'm supposed to be looking for these notifications. I'm also not sure what you mean by 'RBWorld Icon' - is this the 'Rock Band WORLD' text in the upper-left corner? My homepage looks like this:

<Menu at top with 'Rock Band WORLD', 'Goals', 'Songs', etc.>
<scrolling banner that alternates between 'goals in progress', 'challenge a friend', etc.>
    REQUESTS FROM FRIENDS
Rock Band World · You completed the goal: Medium Avenged Sevenfold. You won 833 Blitz Coins.
Rock Band World · You completed the goal: Harmonix Livestream Hunt!. You won 1500 Blitz Coins.
Rock Band World · You completed the goal: Hard Goal is Hard... <etc., basically a huge long list of all the goals I've completed>
<Tables for BLITZ CAREER SCORE, BLITZ GOLD STARS, BLITZ CRED>

That list of goals completed seems weird and not exactly in the right place (i.e. they certainly are not 'requests from friends'). Are these the things that should be showing up as notifications somewhere? I just thought I should mention what I'm seeing in case this is something broken that should be fixed (or something I'm doing wrong). I know the RBWorld team must be working overtime to get everything working in the face of a tidal wave of new players, so thanks for your hard work!

The specific permissions are listed when you install the app. All apps have access to your basic information (name, location, friend's list). We also ask for email and permission to post on your wall. We're not currently collecting emails, or doing anything with them, it's just based on the possibility that in the future we might want to tell you about stuff. (We hate spam as much as you). As I've noted before many times, we don't ever post without you actually clicking on a button to do it. (We hate spam as much as you)

After you create a score war, or join a goal, on the Facebook App, you need to LOG IN TO ROCK CENTRAL in order for the game to pick up the changes. Go back to the splash screen and click through where it says "Connecting to Rock Central" and so forth.

They should just appear in your bank on the console. So far it's worked properly for everyone that I know about. I bet you just played a song and forgot. NICE TRY!

Yes, the "Request From Friends" text needs to be changed to "Notifications" or something [runs off to file a bug...]

And yes, those items will show up as App notifications. They appear next to the words "Rock Band World" under your name on the left side of Facebook until you launch the app (when the count is cleared).

They may or may not appear in your Facebook notifications (in the blue bar at the top of the screen), depending on how Facebook handles them. That's pretty much out of our hands.

Basically, the App notification CAN create a Facebook notification, but doesn't always. Hope that makes sense.
