I appear to have double posted for some forbidden reason. I shall therefore take this editing opportunity to announce the fire/bandmate combination from the TTFATF live stream looked good to me, anyone tried it out?

I've been experimenting with different load-outs for a few days, and it seems like I'm finding a new favorite combination each day. For those who want to be competitive, I recommend against sticking with one load-out that you're comfortable with. You'll be better off moving out of your comfort zone and trying to master most of the load-out combinations that make sense. Different song structures lend themselves to different optimal load-outs.

I started using Road Rage/Bomb Notes/Super Guitar and that is now my go to set up for most songs. For the easier songs Ill go with Jackpot/Flame Notes/Super Instrument.

Well said. If I know a song is gonna have a barrage of notes to hit, I've been experimenting with Road Rage. Waiting until your overdrive meter is full to deploy, then seeing the score rack up is crazy satisfying. Plus, it's always fun to come across a chunk of missing notes waaaay down the tracks, after you forgot you even deployed the dang thang.

I've been sticking with Bandmate pretty frequently. Sometimes use Super Drums or Super Bass if the song calls for it. Sometimes use Flame Note.

I don't really understand Pinball. Do you get points just for keeping the ball alive?

Why not use Bandmate flame notes AND Super Instrument!

Pinball gets you points for the notes it hits.

I feel that Pinball is even more of a gamble than Jackpot. You either get EXTREMELY lucky or you screw up and not only waste purple notes, but you've been ignoring a **** load of tracks.

Runaway seems to be the most safe of the powerups.
